    You have to drop the part where you say stuff like "you will never dive that deep" as you can still achieve momentary pressure spikes well above 6ATM doing non diving things like falling when waterskiing, high diving, or pressure washing. My rule of thumb if the watch costs a bit is: 5ATM rating = Can not even shower with it, 10ATM = will survive if you get caught in a rainstorm, 20ATM = Good for swimming and snorkeling, 30ATM= all you need as a beginning diver, but divers dont use mechanical watches anymore, anything above 30ATM is just for showing off to your 12 year old buddies and technical demonstrations.

      These are inexpensive and work great. The machines that test up to 20atm are very expensive
