Your addition of the silhouetted couple walking away was just brilliant. Like the model is recalling a distant memory of a happier spring.
Can we take a moment not only to admire his skills but also respect James’ decision to paint the couple into the background, sans backpack 🎒 A very good choice indeed!
The way you capture and manipulate light truly puts your work a cut above the rest. The way you capture the subtle glow along the edges of a building or tree, the subtlety of the shadow areas and luminescence of the highlights is truly sublime.
I am a photographer, I can’t even draw let alone paint, but I am mesmerized by your work.

I got the 2nd Dinotopia book when I was a kid, and now, so many years since, I stumble upon your channel and now not only I'm full of nostalgia about my old book and my childhood love for dinossaurs and fantasy, but I just learned some deep lessons about paiting and why its a essential human activity

Great work, commentary and video! Love the Impressionism-like brush strokes, and the painting also gives me a feeling of Sargent's paintings. Looking at the whole process and the time-lapse video is really helpful.
