  • This video demonstrates how a high-performance speed controlling of a #brushless Motor ( #bldc or #pmsm ) is done using SOLO MINI under various conditions including loaded with a hysteresis brake or in no-load condition, we will show you how the Torque and Speed are actually working together under FOC method to keep the speed constant in all the possible scenarios.
0:00 Sudden Load effect on Speed Controlling
0:41 Introduction and Initial setup and wirings
2:49 Motion Terminal setups and Initial Motor test at 1000 RPM in no-load condition
7:49 Demonstration of how SOLO keeps the speed constant under severe changes in the load
9:00 Gradual increase or decreasing of the load and its effect on Torque and Speed behavior
11:12 Effect of load variation on Speed controller and how the Speed controller gains can affect the reaction of SOLO to variations
13:58 Testing the effect of various gains for #pidcontroller, especially the Kp and Ki gains.

What is the reason for the 10RPM oscillation on the velocity?

The oscillation is based on the gains related to the tune. Is possible to optimize them based your system and requirements, in this video was not critical to use not optimized ones.
