I won a sample pack from them and I fell in love with Barbershop! I ordered a bottle less than an hour ago. I will be wearing it in the cooler months lol.
    Awesome review by the way

Really enjoyed your review on this fragrance. Very thorough and I like your laid back presentation. My dad is also from the Norfolk/tidewater area. Seriously considering picking up a couple bottles of this, one for him and myself. Sounds like a real winner

Good review. I like your delivery. Have you ever tried Happyland's Barbershop? Just wondering how they compare, in your opinion.

Thanks! I have tried a number of Happyland fragrances (all have been great) but not Barbershop. Need to change that soon!

Have you tried Bon Monsieur by Rogue Perfumery? It's currently my favorite barbershop-like scent. I'm going to need to try this one. Thank you for your review.

You're very welcome! Thanks for watching! Yes, I have tried Bon Monsieur... in fact, not too long after posting this video. I went on a rampage exploring all the barbershop scents i could find! 😆 It's excellent. But I tend to love everything by Rogue!

@@scentremix6201 I've been on a barbershop scent quest for a few years now. I see Authenticity Perfumes has a 4th of July discount, so I'm going to pull the trigger on this one.

Born and raised in Williamsburg Virginia, "up that way". Anyway..... not to be the "Fougere Police" but this fragrance is not a classical fougere. Where's the lavender? One could say its "fougere-like " maybe, but to pick nits it's not technically a classical fougere. Of course the Fougere olfactive family was defined by its prototype in 1882, Houbigant's Fougere Royale, with the classic, genre-defining note/accord triad of lavender, coumarin and oakmoss. This fragrance, which I don't yet have, may in fact approximate the classic fougere accord with other notes. That of course can happen, and so maybe the use of the term can be understood that way. But "fougere" these days is a characteristic that is promiscuously thrown around, and I like to say if there isn't at least lavender, which I consider the most indispensable note in the accord, present then there better be a good reason for the use of the fougere classification. The term "barbershop" to characterize fragrances is used indiscriminately also. But I don't think a frag neccesarily needs to be a fougere to qualify. I think classic Old Spice classifies, and it's a Spicy Oriental, for example. Same for many Pinaud scents. Etc.
Anyway, my time in the International Classic Fougere Name Enforcement Authority has been a rewarding one. Time for retirement. Good review, and I look forward to adding this to my display case of Barbershop "Fougeres".

🤣 Points well received and I agree... some of the terminology we use nowadays have become very "broad" and we find the need to classify them somewhere. Maybe a better way to put it in the future is "it has a fougere or barbershop feel".
Thanks for weighing in, my man! 👍🏼

If you are looking for a more modern take on barber scents, check out Rogue Perfumery's Bon Monsieur and Naughton & Wilson's Gravitas Pour Homme. And then there are a slew of older ones I could recommend! 😁 I am impressed with Happyland. Their Green Irish Tobacco... WOW!!!
