Hello everyone! I'm so glad to share this story with you. As you know, I am originally from Primorsky Krai, eastern Russia. I love my region but I never had the opportunity to explore it much. So in January, I got a message from @drewbinsky, he told me that he wanted to visit Khasan, the village on China-North Korea-Russia tripoint, and Drew invited me to join him. I was worried, but agreed to take part in this adventure. Well, actually we didn’t get to Khasan because we were detained by the borders guards... but we still had a great time, exploring the Slavyanka town, old ships and North Korean boats!

What is the most interesting borders place you ever visited?
the Tijuana-San Diego border. Never seen such a contrast between two sides of the border anywhere in the world.
I was coming back on foot from Mexico to The U.S. at the Tijuana / San Diego border. My friend who was Japanese got searched for half an hour. They took one look at me and waived me through customs, without needing to show my ID and Passport.
This was because I'm a Tall / White / Blond Hair Guy. I couldn't believe this as they checked hundreds of peoples documents both i n front of me & behind me.
The border between my street and St James' street is quite an adventure - there is a Jack Russel that chases after you and a duck that will peck at your legs..
Great video Natasha and Drew. Brings back memories of visiting East Berlin and the new Czech republic only a few months after the Berlin wall came down. A strange time where we (me and two Spanish friends) were at the East German/Czech border. It was like being in a cold war movie. I miss those adventures.
The border between Spain and Gibraltar is the most interesting one I've experienced. There's an airport that has a runway that intersects the only road so it has to close when a plane lands like a railway crossing.
Natasha THANK YOU SO MUCH for joining this adventure with me! I Had so much fun!!!! Can't wait to see you again soon!
JUST GO!!! :) OK, will!
The world is MORE dangerous than people think.
Would you still say that the world is safer than we think, now?
@@enorazza I would say more than ever it is true.
Wow, a giant youtuber teamed up with a medium-sized youtuber from Russia for a cool video! That's awesome! Also, you reek of a positive attitude, kindness and openness, which is very attractive and quite unusual for me as a local Russian:)
Last week I crossed the border to Sweden from Norway. Perhaps not as scary.
i'd say so lol
I’ll bet it is “heavily guarded” as well!! Lol My paternal grandfather’s family actually emigrated to Canada/USA from a town near the border called Strömmer. It’s in Norway nowadays, but I was told by my grandmother that it has been part of Sweden at times over the centuries as well. It’s just a small fishing village. Hope to visit there someday!
🇨🇦🙏🍻
Last week I crossed the border to Sweden from Finland.
Oh.. you never know.. Those Swedish trolls can be a handfull..
Not scary at all. Lol
I can't imagine a scarier border crossing for a US citizen than the Russian/North Korea border crossing lol.
People have forgotten about the Islamic State so quickly.
🇰🇷South Korea /North Korea😉
@@juavi6987 You just have to run really fast lol!
Remember there is a North Korea to China road. River frozen during winter. Many people try to cross to China during winter, so that they can walk. But they can be easy targets to shoot. North Koreans exist.
Cyprus has a dmz too
Hey, a Korean-Canadian here.
My best friend's grandparents migrated from Chongjin (few kilometres away from where you've been) back in the 1950s. My grandparents also had a small business in Nasun in the 40s. Fact that I wouldn't be able to visit the place in my life, seeing the environment very close to the area makes me feel surreal.
Thank you so much for your video :)
I hope someday every NK is as free as you and your family are today. mean while let us all try as hard as we can to keep the usa and canada from becoming like what NK is today despite our crooked rotten corrupt politicians.
You two CZcamsrs are something else.i never heard of Drew so i subscribed to his channel. I am a big fan of Natasha! She is brilliant, and i do mean brilliant in making what looks like simple, run of the mill videos. But they are more than that. I think what sets her apart is how she interjects her sense of humor into her videos. I coiuld go on, but, no i'll just say I am a Fan of Natasha!
I have seen him on Snapchat.
We all are for the very reasons you mention
@Paul Fellows I agree. I started following Bald & Bankrupt when watching videos from Russia, but when I found Natasha, a true Russian who is not from one of the wealthy cities like Moscow or St. Petersburg, but is from the Far East side of Russia, I was instantly intrigued. She shows her country just as it is, whether it's in the poorer region or the wealthier region. She is honest, and she's wonderful.
It's clear. We are here for Natasha. Her no-BS presentation is a hallmark. It is a dual compliment that other YT's engage her for adventures. All the best to her, her friends and colleagues. Keep the film rolling, as they say, after the scene stops to get the true treasures.
Haha what a bunch of SIMPS 🤮🤮🤭🤭
Another great adventure Natasha. 👍 Glad you all are safe. Drew's advice is golden.
ok
As a German citizen I tried this too, in 2016. Back then we just ignored the blue warning sign (this thing should be red, not blue) and did even make it to the town. Soon after however, a border guard in a civil car showed up and asked us for our permissions to be there. Since we didn't have one we had to follow him to exactly the same building as in your video where we got instructed that what we did was unlawful. Luckily though, one guy of our group was a Russian police officer who managed to talk us out of this situation and so we didn't even have to pay any fine and could just continue driving back to Vladivostok. Quite of an adventure and I did manage to see the North Korean watch tower across the border.
That's just stupud
German people are annoying
What motivated to do such a crazy thing? Are you also a CZcamsr or do you enjoy doing things others can't even imagine?
Go back to Germany

Thank you for taking us on this travel adventure. Loved the sea scenes at the end
Yes! A new adventure from Natasha. I always click on your vids as soon as they come out. Great fun. This one was especially interesting. Give us more of your travels please! Of course Drew Binsky wanted to collab with you, you are super beautiful and cool. Much love to you both.
I hope you gave each other a big hug and a promise to collaborate on future videos.
Never imagined a collaboration with Natasha and Drew. He's been on Yes Theory and a few other channels. Nice to see him adventuring to the far east! I wonder if Natasha can finish the trip and show her lovely viewers and Drew the city of Khasan
As a South Korean, it is really interesting that you live so close so North Korea. Wish I could be able to drive up all the way to Havropsk from Busan along the East Sea.
The water fall looks like those in South Korean winter.
10:27 - *my life* You are too funny, Natasha. You deserve 3M subscribers.
Wow! It’s awesome! I’m from Ukraine and I wish the war ended and I’ll visit Far East to see that beauty
Why don’t you invite her to come see the destruction of the war ?
@@mayanaztec6440 firstly, it’s dangerous. The war is going on. And a lot of Ukrainians hate Russians. It’s better not come nowadays
@@ulisirius9027 Discrimination against Russians ? You have been fed lies. But now it might become true, everyone is seeing the atrocities the Russian government is committing. Russia will become more isolated than ever before. And it’s definitely no one’s fault but Russia.

Wonderful. Thanks for taking your viewers along for this trip.
This is amazing, love this video. Thank you so much for sharing!
Once again, thank you for such content. Really enjoy your adventures. Keep up the great work.
So so good to see something from you. Be safe . Love to you Natasha.
Natasha: Your videos always are a delight to watch. Thank you!
I loved everything about this video! Very beautiful scenery and great explanations about what we were seeing! Another great adventure, thank you!!
Thanks for sharing this adventure, Natasha! This video had it all, history, suspense, action, beautiful seaside towns, and wonderful unique people from around the world. 🥰 Your videos are getting better every time, and I always look forward to seeing them.
Loved this video. Amazingly beautiful nature, and great, relatable storytelling. ❤
It's pretty funny to imagine the situation on the border check. Russian guard after two hours of sitting in the silence of the office: "So, what's your impression about Russia?"
HAHAHA Ya really! "well lets see, I got my passport stamped so I am allowed to travel around in Russia, but I got detained for going to close to the edge?"
It is Ofoten a question of trying to be nice but not break the rules. At least in my experience from Russia
I don't imagine they get a lot of business there.
To travel with, and show an American passport in a place where Russia, China and North Korea meet is also not exactly the best idea. My experience of visiting countries like China and Russia as a person not using a US passport was often very different from the guy sitting beside me with his US passport.
Nothing personal, but they were just doing their job.
Thank you for showing the adventure you took with your friends! I enjoy seeing the way life is for you and hope you continue to have more adventures. Best of luck to you and your family.
Two of my favourite youtubers, I'm so glad to see this story out at last! Great video of a pretty cool adventure (aside from the whole detaining Drew part)
Nicely done video Natasha! You guys got some great footage, Glad your friend made it home safe! Can't wait to see where your next adventure takes you next! Takecare.
Wow! An adventure! I liked the little simple restaurant at the end, the conversation there with the locals must have fun for them. Must be such a complicated boarder with the three countries.
Wonderful opportunity as you mentioned, Drew has been doing travel videos for years. Possibly the best lesson is to go with it, you were probably as stressed as Drew with the situation. When that door closed behind him , the next one that you opened also reveilled enjoyable views, moments and memories
Natasha, it was nice to hear from you again! Thank you for sharing your "adventure" with Drew, Andrey, and Kristina. You still had a wonderful trip despite the setback. I loved that frozen waterfall! I found the town of Slavyanka quaint and charming. The views from the cliffs overlooking the bay were amazing. I continue to enjoy all these terrific videos that you and your fellow vloggers from Russian post on CZcams, because we get to see parts of the world we never knew existed
And never forget...... We get to see Natasha.😊
So nice to see you happy to be on a lovely adventure ! Then I worry about your upcoming travel. I long to hear that you are OK.
Awesome Collab Natasha! Very beautiful scenery. It's nice to see there are still some undeveloped areas of this world. I wish you many more fascinating adventures. You are great tour guide. ❤️🙂
I enjoyed every minute of your video. The presence of the sea, ice and snow, covered by the warm comments of you and your companion, it was just a unique show.
Спасибо большое Наташа!
Beautiful video Natasha. Thank you so much. The view was amazing 😍
most russians have never been to north korea but the way things are going they are not missing much 😂 because north korea is coming to them instead
Hey brother! I was just about to hit up your channel next in search of new content! Hope all is well as can be! I had commented you awhile back on your Georgia Winery vlog, if you guys happen to do another one similar, hit up a vineyard in Khvanchkara. 🍷🇬🇪🍷 I’ve read that’s the type of wine preferred by J.V. Stalin himself! Cheers from Canada!
🇨🇦🍻🇷🇺
Hey, Slava! How are "things going"? Well, besides northkoreafication? 🤪
An FSB agent will be visiting you to ask how North Korea is coming to you.
You clearly can't differ an authoritarian state from completely totalitarian
North Korean Soldiers can check everything they own. They just take their phones, tablets, laptop or MP3 players to check which various music, movies, videos and photos they have.
But you don’t carry any religious items (bible, quran, prayer books, etc.), don’t bring any political items, no radios (shortwave, AM, FM, VHF/UHF scannners), etc…
You look so happy in de vlog, that most have been a great adventure
OMG love this! And while having breakfast I got to enjoy frozen seas and frozen waterfalls and a restaurant with 'mediocre' coffee (while I enjoyed a great coffee!) And those views from the cliff tops looking down on the ice cracking.... Just wonderful content as usual!
This may be my favorite video from your channel so far. It had a super great vibe to it.
Thanks for sharing. The low sun really adds to the atmosphere. My crossing from Poland to Belarus in 2016 by train was most interesting!
Natasha - thank you. You are incredible!
Great video, enjoyed very much!
Fascinating. I’m glad it turned out well for all of you and you had a good time. Great to see Drew and Natasha together in a shared adventure.
I hope they do it again sometime.
Wow, the border of Russia, China, and North Korea. Where authoritarian meets very authoritarian meets extremely authoritarian..
I'm glad you're able to finally release this video
Beautiful video. Thanks for taking us on your adventure! 👍👍
Interesting, I enjoyed seeing what this remote part of Russia is like. I’ve seen it on the map and wondered. Thank you, looked like a fun adventure.
Another very nice video Natasha, you do an awesome job. Nice of Drew to ask you to join him. I agree with Drew that often you find people are good when you travel, but you need to keep your wits about you and if it does not seem right follow your instincts. Most people are good but there are the demented out there. I hope you are staying safe and healthy Natasha.
Great adventure guys! Thank you for sharing!
So awesome as always. Thank you Natasha.
Beautiful travel vlog Natasha with Drew , plus the added excitement/ tension of being detained by North Korean guards... Kudos to you and your fellow travellers.
It may have ended differently if they had been N. Korean or Chinese border guards.😞
Love your adventurous vlog! So amazing! Drew is great! Спасибо большое ♡
Thank you Natasha for your clip
this video was one of your very best. loved the vibe of it. thank you! (and pigeon)
Thank you for sharing your country and your love of it. Those of us who are to old and poor to travel. Take care of yourself and love you!
This is an excellent travel video of a very obscure region. That ship is built of wood, which is fascinating as that requires timber not easily obtained, and workers of great skill to build. What a beautiful region. Thank you so much.
Excellent video Natasha!!
what a fantastic travel video! thanks, Natasha!
You're brave Videos like this are why I watch your channel you live in such a unique area of the world.
This is why your perspective is so important Natasha. Your passport can take you places that so many others can’t go. Great video!
I loved watching this adventure with Drew. ThankQ for sharing it with us 🙂
Great video Natasha! Thank you.
A really beautiful frozen waterfall is when it's partially melted from the water. It looks like motion under ice [clear hopefully]. You can see the water flowing inside the ice in several layers sometimes. It's fascinating. Living is Alaska I get to see lots of ice and we have many mountain streams which freeze in the winter.
I cross the busiest international border in the world about once a month, from my home in Ensenada to the US. Though not risky as your adventure was for Drew, the 1-3 hour wait is common, and can be nearly as stressful!
Same deal when I try to go to Washington from British Columbia, so I know what you mean.
That's at rush hours at the busiest crossings. Tecate, a little out of the way, is usually much quicker when you avoid peak hours.
The same thing is true at the British Colombia crossings. Avoid rush hours and, if you can, drive farther away to a less used crossing.
Great to see these parts of the world. Thanks for sharing Natasha.
Thanks for sharing with us Natasha
I left you a comment a year or two ago, telling you that you should be proud to be from such a unique and interesting place like Primorsky Krai. Vladivostock is truly one of the most interesting cities in the world, with its mountains, bridges and beautiful bays. Now that you have seen some more of it and its unique beauty, rejoice! Now you have to go to Sakhalin Island. There are amazing geysers there and the white Siberian tigers.
Great video, Natasha Thank you.
So glad you are well. Would love you to give us an update on your current situation and future plans.
Drew gave us all some good advice - I hope you intend to take notice of it too - I'd love to see your travel vlog showing us places in Africa, South Asia, the Americas, Europe, and it would be great to hear your impression of Australia. So many possibilities for your future.
Peace and Blessings.
Great video! Happy to see you as well!
Great vid, thanks Drew and Tasha. Happy new year from Belgium
This is amazing!!! You deserve this Natasha. Im glad you collaborate with a cool person like Drew. You are just a very ver gemuime good and honest person, and im pretty sure that’s the reason you get a lot of views and subscribers. You also seem to be good at storytelling
That's why we love her.😁
I wish I could put into words what I like so much about your videos Natasha, but I can't describe it. So, I'll just say thank you for doing what you do, and I look forward to your next video!
Great video. Thank You for sharing your adventures.
Bless you all guys! Love your spirit!
I absolutely loved this video. You have an very curious and warm-hearted way of composing videos, Natasha. About how you crop videos, how you emphasize things, how you narrate. I really want to go there once, you motivated alot!
Drew, thanks for your philosophy on this one. I've travelled in Europe alot, far from any of your travel experiences, but I always had the same feeling as you: Being spontanous makes days richer and pays off. Also, that the world is alot more safer, than people often think. I love your attitude, man.
This was a great video/story Natasha! It’s funny, as I only just discovered who Drew is the other day, thanks to watching another one of your more recent videos, and I was actually curious about this trip since it was discussed a bit there...
You got some good footage, and by the looks of it you had an enjoyable time! Glad you made this video about it!
Hope all is well, and that everything only gets better each and every day!! ✌️
Thank you very much for the video! Very cool the atmosphere - ice nature, sea, old ship...
Awesome video, NataSha! ❤
A most excellent travel story Natasha ~ the point where all three nations China/Russia/NK meet is very special (unique) ~ спаси́бо ~ what a great experience you had.
Great video! Love the choice of calming music with the incredible coastline. Going to local lunch spot was part of the overall experience. As you said, small town atmosphere. I live in the border city of Buffalo, NY, USA so I can be in Canada in a few minutes from my home. We have a choice of two bridges to cross over. Many tourists come here since we are 20 minutes from Niagara Falls. I look forward to your future adventures!
This was a good one, really good to see you collaborate with Drew.

Another fantastic video. I travelled through Siberia from Moscow to Irkutsk then down through Mongolia to China on the Trans-Siberian train, but I never went right over to the east coast. All of your videos are a fascinating insight into that part of the world - very inspiring - maybe I will make it over there one day. Keep doing what you're doing 👍
Great vid! Thanks
Really enjoyed this
Its so interresting to see the different styles of videography. Natashas videos are so philosophical and thoughful and Drew has the generic YT jumpcut format wich in comparison to Natashas videos becomes kinda stressful and impersonal... So Natasha, keep up your good work!
I live in northern Thailand near the "Golden Triangle" where Thailand, Burma and Laos come together and China is just a few km's further north. This used to be the opium capitol of the world. Now it's great for coffee - growing! (And growing pot is now legal in Thailand.) 😄 Love this video Natasha and Drew!
I was fortunate to go on a school trip to North West of chaing mai in the middle 90s. The Karen village of ban huey pong lao is the epitome of utopia. ♥️🇱🇸🏴🇦🇺 ps pattaya was awesome for 16yo school kids. Not so much fun for the 4 teachers that had to deal with weed smoking students in Thailand riding scooters.
@@brinjoness3386 what a fantastic experience. Thanks for sharing
@Duvidl China is NOT "just a few km further north" from northern Thailand. even if you stand at northernmost point in Thailand, China is like a hundred km from there. get your facts straight before you comment.
@@Alex_Gordon Ooh, so sorry Alex.

Excellent Natasha. I haven’t seen your videos recently since the war started raging. But this is a really nice one. Great to be seeing you again.
A wonderful adventure. I've crossed several borders in the Middle East. Peace and Love from West Virginia.
Great video! It wouldn’t be an adventure with out being detained 😜 For example, the recently posted Bald and Bankrupt adventure (from earlier this year) to sneak into the Buran hanger. I like what Drew said though about the world being safer than we think. We get a lot of scaremongering from our own media which does the opposite of building connections and understanding between different peoples of the world who fundamentally are the same.
Thank you Natasha for the nice video. I look forward to your next trip.
Great Video, You still have it and are doing great! Stay safe!
The seaside view reminds me of the Korean town of Sokcho, which was my favorite place I visited in SK.
Ah, the Drew Binsky North Korea story - at last 🍿🍿 P.S. My favorite part of the whole video: 17:15 - "Food is... food" 😊😊 I just LOVE it, Natasha, that you "enjoyed the atmosphere of this place" and included this viby run-of-the-mill kafeshka in the video 💙💙

I have always wanted to visit Harbin China. I hope their beer was good. Down the southern Chinese coast is Qingdao. It is a really fun place to visit and their beer is supposed to be the best in China. The southern part of the east part of China is a really wonderful place to visit near the city of Guilin. The country-side is exceptionally beautiful! Travel safely.
It's a 105° outside and I have to cover up with a blanket, every time I watch your show, because of how everything is ice and snow.
