Tree Sentinel boss battle. - Hry
It's literally the first enemy after exiting the cave.
Optional boss
@@GrindyVine i'm trying to kill since i get out of the cave... hahaha
With my basic stuff.
So it's optional...
@@ArribaElMole just cheap him away with some sorcery or heavy attacks, patience it's key
@@mr.garbage3226 Or came back after killed Godrick and make him pay every one shot he did
@@ArribaElMole beating the crap of him in level one is more satisfying
beat this shit at level one after like 80 deaths I have never died more to a boss in any souls game
good luck with the 2 you fight at the same time then
@@tuyoufpazic5746 yeah i beat them 2nd try I have become the reincarnation of jesus christ
I can't kill him because of stutters it's impossible. Fck this game
@@zaryankaa i play 20fps with stutters on a 1050ti and im almost done with the game
@@gude5269 How? My game freezes and then everything speeds up. rx 5500 xt, 16 gb ram 3600, ryzen 5 2600
1:03 Horse rearing up, axe swung out, Erdtree in the background. Would make a great painting for the Tree Sentinel
RIP Jürgen, he was like a father to me
I loved him like my son
That horse just got violated
Pause?
At the very beginning when he does the magic spear attack
Hahahaha
Reminds me of me touching that bitch's ass and her boyfriend was mad and fought me while his bitch was helping fighting me on the street
@@sirianndugvudys6850 What?
And his name is...
"G Y O U B U M A S A T A K A O N I W A!"
Wait, wrong horseman.
Heh.
always nice to see some sekiro love
Sekiro would wreck this dude.
Now that I think of it. Modders should add a "play as sekiro mod". It would be interesting.
Lmao great reference
I came here because I felt Gyoubu and Tree Sentinel had a lot in common
1:36 HE DESPAWNED YOUR HORSE!? Good god…
didnt know horseback combat could be this fun
I actually found it to be a pretty easy fight if you take him head on jousting, kinda like medieval knights tourneys, just mount up, go head on, land your hit, continue running forward, after a safe distance but not enough for him to start pursuing you, turn around and charge him again, rinse and repeat, preferably with a heavier weapon for more dmg per pass / posture break (even tho you can't afaik land an actual riposte after he is posture broken, you'll still land more dmg, and free dmg at that)
i just rode my horse and circled him while attacking, eventually he died lmao.
Yeah easy if u skip and mount up first
But not manly enough, I took a lot of tries but I did it on level 1, and without parry, or without any critical hit(I forgot to read the tutorials, lol), but because of this practice. I become invincible for now atleast...
This fight was very epic, we both fighting on our horses and a Godrick soldier tried to interfere and attack me at the end but the sentinel just oneshoted him like "don't disturb our duel you piece of shit"
He does this new thing now where he jumps like a hundred feet and flies back down like a comet and it one hits, not sure how to dodge it with how large the rumble aoe is. Guess he is a boss to save for later I guess, I beat the night watch guy who is essentially him but only because he doesn't do that comet thing.
Bruh you’re talking about Radahn..
@@ikeamonkey7372 Na, Radahn goes to space though, this guy just jumps like 1000 feet and smashes back down. I learned my lesson with this being a horse boss.
@@JackJonValois Huh, guess I just don’t remember him doin that..
Bro you gotta roll at the right time for the invincibility frame when he does the comet shit. You won’t take damage
@@thehiddenwarrior354 They actually patched the attack out early on so it wasn't an issue especially later, rolling didn't stop it but I didn't realize this was a horseback fight then either.
He gives me serious BotW Lynel vibes with the way he’s just walking around before the fight
this game is basically botw for adults
@@aijint BotW isnt really for kids. It’s got some really dark undertones, especially in Age of Calamity
0:20 prank him john yall ready know
Nothing is more humbling than a golden halberd swipe to the face
Tree sentinal aka
Dragonslayer armour....but on a horse!
Exactly. If you beat him, you get his halberd but it requires 30 strength
Learning this dudes attacks and how to properly dodge them is so rewarding
Ah yes, the game’s equivalent of a Gold Lynel right at the starting area
What character type are you using to defeat tree sentinel
I just started this game and it seems to be boss after boss so far. I hope there are normal enemies too. Just killed this guy and found another boss in the cave.
Be careful what you wish for
I feel you… lol…
Well, there were too many bosses. Especially too many re-used bosses. I would have rather had more normal enemies in some caves and places like that than the same bosses again and again. But, the main areas were pretty well made and had good amount of normal enemies.
yeah me too, downloaded game today, and i stuck on this boss for 3 and a half hours. the best strategy is to use two handed scimitar, i almost killed him like that. the boss is easy but his attack hitboxes sucks
@@derealization_editstbf you’re not really supposed to kill this guy straight away. The game is designed for you to discover & explore things and then come back when you’re skilled enough to
Legit took me an hour but finally did it🤣🔥
Cant you charge spells on horseback?
barely an hour into this game and I'm already sick of the difficulty 😅
Did you beat the game?
@@17sbaucum I did!! there was a few times there I wanted to quit. hardest game I have ever played 😅
Did you git gud ?
@@ladistar lmao fanboys
Fun fact a wretch can do more damage with a club on level 1
Smithing stones level a halberd up and get your levels to mid 20s keep your distance horseback and remember to jump when he swings that halberd round
Started the game like 1 and a half weeks ago and am stuck at godskin duo rn. I always found the tree sentinel extremely easy tbh. Yes I died a lot of times but I did dumb crap to completely figure it out and after that I think i could take it down without loosing health and a dagger. Almost went half way against the dragonic tree sentinel naked with a normal dagger no upgrade and no armor to roll faster. Tbh I think the tree sentinel is one of the easiest bosses. Yes at the start it looks impressive but you only need a good sword and can easily take it out. Either people haven’t seen godskin and gargoyles yet or somehow they have a problem with this specific boss which I can’t understand. Most I did to the godskin was 33% with a greatsword but that’s about it. Im trying to beat the god eating serpent to get the magic spell and than change to a magic load out since I don’t think I can beat it otherwise
There are diferent skill levels, the fact that you find a boss easy doesn't mean a new player to the soul series will
You’re God, you shouldn’t have a problem with anything hahahaha
The problem for me starts when he starts smashing the ground with his shield and horse. Like he'll jump into the air and I can't see where the hell he's at.
awesome
I finally beat it at around level 14ish when I got the long sword and dead wolves ashes and horse
am I supposed to skip this as soon as I get out of the save... right?
I just started this game and fought him for an hour till i finally killed him. I never knew u could ride a horse
Coolest looking boss
That’s just the Lynels from Breath of the Wild but Elden Ring.
oh so you can farm first then go back to him, my goddamn streamer just went head first clashing the dude right after he got out the cave. xd
I’ve never been a player of any like dark souls type game so my experience went a little like this:
1.bought game for 60$
2.inserted game into ps4
3.loaded game and started playing
4.met this mf
5.couldnt kill this mf
6.deleted game and sold it
It took me hours to beat! But it taught me to use the mount xD
I came back to the cave entrance Door and killed him
I had to quit the game because I was taking too long on fighting the guy, probably more than an hour. Will update you guys tmrw if I was able to defeat him.
Any luck?

@@mel.6420 Well, it's alright. I'm sure your proficiency lies somewhere else. B'sides, it's just a game, yes?
@@doctordick6172 I agree. Thank you.
Just keep charging at him with horse, hit once not twice and run. Hit and run. Jump two times in a row with horse.

MY NAMMEEEE
so u can skip him? it took me dozen of attempts to kill this guy with starting armor and 2 low damage swords -_-
Ngl I can’t beat it what’s the tip or build for that
He can’t hit u from close get on horse n stay by his side the whole time … I nvr used one flask cause I died 2000 times n was pissed n hit him with a old school Nintendo cheese … we ended up making a circle over n over while I struck him one hit every circle … don’t run stay in close .. I've been playing religiously since DS2 and this fucker was close to the most upset I've ever been by these games
Why so many Sorcerers in Elden Ring?
The fact that a whole freaking boss is the very first thing you see as soon as you exit the tutorial is why I hate Elden Ring's level design
but very rewarding when you beat them, better than instant gratification
@@bingus9813 That doesn't make it's placement any better

I could never get into crazy unrealistic games like this. They look ridiculously fictional with absurd and over the too dramatic looking characters. I do like realistic fictional games like Chivalry 2.

The fight isn't "bad", just a major beginner's trap. There are WAY MORE bosses deserving of being call BAD.
Why did people think this boss was so hard? He's like the "Try Jumping!" boss.
Depends, I think he is quite challenging when you decide to make him the first real enemy you take down
Took me like 1-2h as a fresh samurai haha
hes so bad, only won because of op loot 💀
skill issue
Paid 60 dollars for this game. Exited the cave and thought: "Wow my first boss! I'm so ready to experience the greatness of the 500k reviews people are talking about!!!"
Died in 1 combo 5x
Insta refund xD
Shame, game's really good
@@ivanbanuelos1387 I can see why people might enjoy this game, combat felt pretty responsive and fun but for me it just seems like bad game design to have much weaker characters face very powerful enemies (relatively) and also I didn't like the idea of dying a lot when it was quite punishing to do so and I literally had no idea what to do and figuring it out would have costed me hours of dying on repeat. Thanks but I'll pass and I think it's way overhyped.
@@Beploziu You could have always just... ran past him, it's what I had to do before I had enough gear to kill him.
@@MatrixShadowGaming I guess I could have done that and instead just died to the next OP boss that I happened to cross path with but I fear the outcome would've been the same: dying 100 times before I realized the "easiest" boss/path.
It was clear for me that it was the way the game was designed and it's not fun for me. I just don't have the hours to make it to the part where it gets pleasant and rewarding. I couldn't help but think that they should have simply structured the map in a way that it would have come naturally... like many other games do in different ways: metroidvanias makes you learn a skill at certain points in the story to access certain areas with powerful enemies. A simple invisble wall would have done it.
It's a cool game with a gorgeous world but that's it, not fun if you don't want to watch hours of youtube guides to tell you where to go and what to do, that or die on repeat.
@@Beploziu u dont need to rush to these enemies u could have explored the map gather runes level up and try again, patience is key
