The best part about Book of Hungry Names is that despite the topic being the literal apocalypse, there is so much hope in the story. (At least the way I played it.) Multiple members of the old guard and the antagonists tell you flat out that the war is over and you fight for a doomed cause, but it is YOUR choice whether or not you want to accept that. It's your fight now, and we can still win.
YT hiding comments caught me, they didn't want to display my comment because I said something they don't like about the meaning behind the slogan of WTA. The, When will you rage? I'll say the initial part of my other comment only now. There could be Apocalypse on the title, but, the sense of hope it's one of the themes in WTA, it's 1 of its messages.
Knowing me I'll probably have my anti-hero or anti-heroine character tell the old guard and antagonists "It's only over when I die cause I'm not giving up so you'll have to kill me as I'll never stop fighting to protect Gaia, and the innocents regardless if they're human, Garou, or some other supernatural creature. You hear me this fight isn't over not by a long shot."
Already finished my first playthrpugh and I loved it!!! It actually inspired me to start storytelling again after a 4 year hiatus. This game will be forever a favorite in my library
I absolutely adored this game. The sheer amount of different characters I can build for each playthrough is just insane. Plus as a lifelong resident of Massachusetts it was so cool seeing familiar towns and locations represented. Definitely gonna be playing this one for years to come.
A message to Kyle Marquis: You nailed it bro !!! And yes Combat scenes are soooooo satisfying !!! My only whinings is about some gifts like the one that protects you from fire/silver/balefire, that is too demanding to get that you may not even be able to use it when the time is right. And that some gifts cannot be accessed at all if you haven't followed their road (made the right choices) from the very start of the game. Also you should add more pictures in the most important scenes of the game. And last but not least, make Melodie beautiful. Man her smile is scary, makes her really ugly and she shouldn't be.
I was playing it, but my browser closed by unknown reasons, so I lost my progress, there should be a way to save the progress, don't want to play it on phone. I didn't like that the story, maybe a spoiler, covered, read below: It sends you to a library a lot of times, till the point I made it. I was like 12 times there, every time in this way: Go to X place, get an item, go to library. Read something, go to library. Learn a name, go to library. Also, part of the story focused on talking about the library. At times, the transition between scenes it's not clear, something is happening it seems to not have ended, then next page you're in a whole different situation, also, in one part it's obvious 2 pages didn't connect well, a character introduced himself with name and all, in the next page a situation happens then he tells you tells again "my name is X".

Probably play a Black Furies member or Silver Fangs member who is either a Ragabash, or Philidox basically the Garou who accepts that Rage is a good thing but it should be used when it's needed basically having high high amounts of Rage, and low low amounts of Rage are both bad.
I guess you already played it, but WTA Heart of the Forest is way better not only for someone that's playing WTA for the first time given it introduces you there perfectly, it also has a better story, gameplay, lore explanations in the story plus dictionary along with visuals and audio. You can feel the WTA themes, atmosphere and mood there, too. Also details of the story changes depending on what you did before, like spoiler free, 1 NPC in my 1st playthrough, he was involved in different things in the 2nd and 3rd playthrough.
@@Razamaniac Novels like this yes. I've also played Werewolf The Apocalypse Earthblood and fell in love with it. So much so I'm gonna start a roleplay account for it on Insta, though many aren't fond of the game in a whole I actually enjoy it
@@izaiahbrown5486 Earthblood could have been a lot better, but changed developer hands and whole planned game changed. Apart from that Werewolf the Apocalypse Heart of the Forest is also very good.
Pretty nice, but technically even shoddier than Night Road. It really doesn't help a game where spirits paw at the 4th wall and create alternate reality illusions that the proper continuity isn't, well, proper. Like, you go through Everlite mission without fighting and lock both groups of guards out of the final room, but the very next screen will act like you massacred a bunch of dudes and the rest of the game will pretend like that's what happened up to and including an encounter with a Neo Albion guy that apparently has scars from that fight...which never happened.
