@@chester_hobbs My condolences. I moved interstate just after my girl passed, which was just over 12 years ago, and I would still find her fluff around at the beginning. Just her reminding me that she's here, I think. 🙂
@@Tia.H My housekeeping practices leave a lot to be desired. It's funny how you see certain personality traits in huskies that you don't see in other dogs/breeds. Unlike Key, my husky wouldn't fetch. As soon as he realized I didn't throw something for him to eat he lost interest.
@@chester_hobbs Bonnie didn't like playing fetch, either, but she loved playing tunnels (I cupped my hands to form tunnels and she'd put her snout through them). She was quite a smart girl and loved company, as well as to sit in the front yard and watch the world go by (especially in her senior years). One of my favourite memories was when it was time to go to bed - I'd say those magic words and she'd climb over the couch, onto the bed and curl up on her side of the bed (I had turned the garage into kind of a studio apartment, so the couch was against the bed). She couldn't get there fast enough!
Bonnie was a poodle x dachshund (and more, I think). I have never had a husky, but I do love them!
I can never get enough of the way K'eyush reacts when he knows that Sherpa is coming to see him. K'eyush and Sherpa's friendship is just so sweet and endearing. Awww, Key was a good boy. He came straight away and laid down, so you could brush him. Brushing near his bottom often seems to make him fart. Key got up quickly when you said that Sherpa was coming over. 🐕💖

I do so think your Key "translations" are spot on! While I do not currently have a dog, I ruminate about the bond brushing/grooming plays. Like that of a horse, it seems to be one of the best ways to forge a close relationship. If I was your neighbor, I would be plotting to brush your boy!

You are a brave person, brushing him inside the house!! We had collie who would have those white tufts of fir pop out during shedding season. It was fun to pull on them and extract a pile of loose fir.
We call the floof "essence" and brushing my guy is stealing his essence - he doesn't like his essence stolen.
