I wonder if there is a way through meditation to really feel the channel in my body through which "Mercury IN THE 4rd house(or any other placement)" is pouring into my consciousness. If you know what I mean? When I shift states do I shift my placements? If I allow my body to feel more subtile things and think differently and train it to alter my reactions to outer circumstances and though processes- my body changes accordingly... does it mean I can differ my placements? Seems like nonsense, or does it?

I don't think it's nonsense. I have mercury in revati in the 4th. I am such a different person than just 10 years ago because of the methodology you've talked about. Being so hyper aware of subtleties and using them as your guide can be a gift that lets you live many lives in one.
