Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on these Jeremy! My first impressions of the driving trailer in particular weren't great - I ran into many of the same issues you did - but overall they are a fine set of coaches. Some of the detailing is superb.
I know you're sticking with DC, but just a tip for anyone who's thinking of running these on a DCC layout: you will either need to find a way to chip the driving trailer, or put up with both the red and white lights being on all the time in both directions. Or just run with them switched off completely. Not the worst situation, but a little frustrating on a £70 coach nonetheless.

No worries. They do look good once they stop uncoupling. I generally have mine in push formation as I don't have enough of the profi couplings to convert the whole rake. Best regards, Jeremy

Total agreement. These make a good rake.
When I was at Sograil in July last year, I picked an extra driving trailer. Removed the snow plow on the front and added a coupler so I could tag on extra single deck coaches just like they run in Switzerland 🇨🇭. Have you done this ? Have run like this at my railway club.
    Do enjoy your films, Jeremy.

Hi Allan, I haven't done the coupler conversion. Probably keep mine as is for the time being unless I can pick up another cheap driving trailer. Its a great idea though as it's very common to see them run with the single deck carriages in tow. Best regards, Jeremy.

Hi Jeremy, very good and informative review, what a great set of coaches, they do look good running round your layout.
I found Scograil to be very good and very competitive on prices, I bought my Z21 (black) from them and they were by far the cheapest around.
    Cheers for now mate, John

Hi John, Many thanks for looking in. They are lovely coaches and do look great speeding round the layout. Scograil are brilliant, and like you, I've always had good service from them. Take care mate. Best regards, Jeremy.

Greetings Devon and hello Jeremy 👋 Very informative show 👍 I definitely find these very useful in understanding Swiss Railways, what is available and how to use them 😁 Looks like something else to put on my shopping list though 😝 Very best wishes from the Emerald Isle ☘️

Hi Paul, its been a rather sunny Devon today! Thanks for the kind comments. Its a nice set and certainly do pick one up. Look forward to seeing it running on your continental section! Have a good weekend my friend! Best regards, Jeremy.

I've just received the IC2000 models (and HT Railjet coaches) and they look great, but won't try running them until the weekend. Might get some IC2020 later as well.

@@markjohnson3510 Thank you for watching. They are really nice models, I think i’m leaning more towards liking the original more than the new one but both are very smart. Enjoy your models! Do you have a Swiss layout? Best regards, Jeremy.

@@jezbo7827 very loosely themed German and Swiss, all the chalet style buildings (plus others) on the narrower upper deck of a two deck layout

Thanks for the video! What are you using to couple them together? The standard Rapidos? Or something else like Fleischmann Profi's?
Also, what size is the layout? I love that you can love full length IC2020 rakes - they take up a surprising amount of space. Makes a 10 car TGV look tiny in comparison.

Hi Nathan, many thanks for watching. I'm starting to replace some of the couplings with Modellbahn Union Profi style couplings. These are available through DM Toys - link in my video descriptions. The layout is 485cm x 85 cm. The purpose of having a long sweeping mainline was to be able to run near on scale length trains. Have a good weekend. Best regards, Jeremy.
