Transforming Misfit Bonsai Pots into Magical Bonsai Forests (Crassula Ovata Crosby’s Compact Jade)

I put several of my misfit bonsai pots to work with the help of a gift of beautiful mini jade plants. I really enjoy creating bonsai jade forests - they are so practical and easy to care for.

LOL. I've got a bunch of misfit pots waiting for just the right plants. That doesn't stop me from buying more. 🤣🤣 Tan pot is my favorite...Crosby compact tend to color up in the spring after cool nights and lots of sun. Mine are almost completely maroon in color right now & typically go back to green by mid-June. I've been thinking about making a jade forest using different varieties...🤔🤔

FWIW crosby compact have a tendency to want to be leggy without branching. Regular hard pruning helps prevent it.
