Welcome to the first episode of my new web-series: Projects in Pyjamas. Or in short PiP!
In this first episode, I’ll take you along on my journey, while I make a romantic tutu. As preparation for a historical ball in France.

Absolutely stunning! The world needs more events where we can all get dressed up like this and smile more! Thank you for sharing your amazing talents. :)
Thank you ❤️
I love how versatile this gown is! You could almost turn this into a challenge: How many styles can you do with one base? I love how your tutu turned out!
Hahahah Maybe... but it is kinda “historical accurate” they used to have multiple pieces they could combine as far as I know. But I have to admit, this one is a bit extreem 😂
I linked here through Enchanted Rose's channel. I don't recall wrestling with tulle to ever be as easy as you just made it look. I wish I'd known about the folding tricks for sewing the side seams 20 years ago. The tutu is gorgeous.
Costuming drama directed me here too and love the colours of the tutu. Also what a great way to keep the bodice and skirt together! Thank you 🙂
Peta Pendlebury welcome!! and thank you❤️
I loved this video, yay for projects in pyamas!
Juul Thijssen pyjama all day, every day! You know it gurl! ❤️
My need for this tutorial about three years ago is unheard of. But now I HAVE to revisit that project so I can make it correctly (and have it actually look nice).
😂😂😂😂😂❤️
I love how beautiful, full & swooshing your tutu turned out. The color too is so dreamy..
I love how easy you make it look. I’m still struggling to draft the basque pattern though. Patterns are not my thing 😂
Beautiful
What a beautiful tutu, I love it! The color is gorgeous and it looks so good with your equally gorgeous bodice!
k.a.m.cosplay thank you so much ☺️
Amazing and beautiful. I'm so glad I found your channel. I look forward to the series.
I’m always in awe of your amazing technique! *bow deeply*
Thank you so much 😀
I love the elastic buttonhole trick! I’m definitely filing that away for later. The finished tutu with the bodice looks like an absolute dream as well!
Kiki Zalewski thank you very much☺️ is so more convenient to have them separately
Costuming Drama directed me here! This is going to be very useful for something my small-ish ballerina wants...Thank you!
J Fowler welcome!! And thanks costuming drama!, isn’t she the best?
This is the most amazing tutorial, thank you so much for taking the time to edit and upload this!!!
You're very welcome!
This is absolutely charming. Thank you.
Roxie Poe thank you! 🤗
It's like a midsummer night dream in a tutu 😍
Well they would have worn these kind of tutu’s in that production, so you are quite right😊
Love the name, Jason from England 🤓
This is soo pretty! I love romantic tutus! I’m just a bit confused how you closed off the back of each layer? Did you see each centre back sewn separate? Also do you put some sort of cotton lining under the skirt or does the hard tulle brush against your legs?
Alicia Estelle yes i did sew every layers CB seperatly together in the same says as I did the other seams, i just left 20 cm open at the top in order to get in. The only layer between my skin and the tule are my tights. That is why i sewn the first two layers inside out. So the hard edge of the tule doesn’t scratch so much. 😉
oh it's so PRETTY
Thank you☺️
This is brilliant!
🤓😅❤️
Beautiful!
Bedankt voor het uploaden. Dit is veel handiger dan hoe ik het in het verleden heb gedaan!
Wies S graag gedaan! 😊
How many yards/meters of tulle do you think you used total? And how many layers of tulle? Your work is beautiful, I want to make a tutu like this but in pink!
What kind of tulle did you use? I'm in lockdown so having to order online and it's difficult to know which are soft and flowy like yours. Thanks!
