Not really he is at the highest point at 3200 meters up, I could shoot him down with the main guns at that height. 6km is the min safe unless your a small torpedo bomber
There’s not even any sort of use to be used by flying them out with the he-177 The fritz x is finished reloading once you’re done guiding it in, so you don’t need three of them
Bomber defence gunners are unable to see or hit anything that isn't within 50m. their targetting is all over the place since they don't do any ranging so the aiming hints are just plain wrong. Also does not help that only the nations that have 50 cal guns in spade can really hope to do anything against incoming fighters, but those ususaly carry crap bomb loads that don't even give enough credits to pay for the repair of the dang thing. The bomber's only call to fame was that for those who could be profitable, that profit could be somewhat reliable, since unlike everything else, completing objectives isn't directly linked to making sure that somebody else is getting monetary loss. Hell even in ground RB everything always end up in a one sided trounce, because one team gets a BR advantage, get more kills, get more spawnpoints, start bringing out tons of CAS and going on 12 kills long killstreaks and just bleed any spawn points left to the enemy team. It isn't fun to spawn, get 15 seconds of spawn protection then get spawnkilled by CAS.

Irl the Fitz X got jammed so it did not work against allied warships so it was actually pretty useless. The biggest ship it killed was the Italian Roma battleship which was at that time surrendered and sailing to a allied port. Not that i think your comment is wrong but i'm stating the obvious.
@@noname-wo9yy jamming wasn't that big of a problem, and even if it would have been, there was a wire guided variant, developed exactly for that case, the real reason why it didn't do more was due to A: a lack of said bombs (their expensive you know) B: said Bombs not beeing where they could have been used. And C: some minor issues Whit the Luftwaffe, as well as a weird incompatibility Whit the constant air superiority of the Americans.

I love the Fritz. I use the He-111, I didn't realise it came on other aircraft! this is great to know! I find ships AI gunners to be massively oppressive though. But, it's always an even trade. They will kill me with Laser accuracy, and I'll kill them with Radio accuracy!

The AA really should have a range, just about every aa flak shell was on a timed fuse. Only allied shells near the end of the war had proxy fuses that pinged and detonated if the signal struck a aircraft.
As a German I certificate to you that you indeed made the Vaterland proud with those bomb drops. However, you need to improve in survivability and wreck less planes, they are getting costy for us.

The AI on those boats are insane when they are shooting at aircraft. Edit: I am referring to the AI boats that fill in a match if there aren't enough players.
Youd think SOMEBODY would grab the controlls and through a combine effort of 5 guys they could atleast pilot the thing into the airfield for some sort of kinda controlled crash landing on runway
ROMA was attacked with frix x at more than 5 km altitude. the light AA of the fleet hadn't enough range, even if ROMA's AA opened fire only at last, too late.
Remind me of WWII Online, played it in 2004, was manning Mitrailleuse de 25 mm contre-aéroplanes modèle 1939 and saw a Bf-109 E or F flying close at the horizont around 2 km away and told to the new player beside me. "Look, this plane is so far away, you cant hit it and fired a magazine (10 shots) into the direction of the plane." Yep, the last 2 shells hit the plane and it crashed ... Btw. to your Fritz X, cant you fly higher and use the Fritz-X like a gliding bomb? I mean, drop it earlier and let your plane climb up, the german tested this plane with a target circle of 14 m diameter and dropped the Fritz X from 4 km up to 8 km and around 50% of their tries hit the circle.
Pilot sniping a bomber feels like the cheesiest kill. Nobody else on the plane knows how to fly but losing tank crewman, pff, the loader can drive or aim no problem.
Meanwhile, Hans Rudel Stuka-divebombs munitions into the pipe of battleships and ends up destroying more material than most nations have in their arsenal, all this with his first life and no respawns required.
Pretty sure you're supposed to aim for the turrets to try and get an ammo detonation instead of center of mass. On the center of ships, especialy the bigger ones, your bomb usually hits the superstructure or a funnel, explodes too high and doesn't get you a kill some of the times but if you hit the turrets it's pretty much a guaranteed one-shot.
@@fulcrum2951 Yeah it's a pain to deal with the AA while you're trying to bomb, but l I didn't say it was easy, I just said that when you CAN pick your target you should be aiming for the turrets.
