Very nice question! Great explanation. It is fashionable to demean and belittle Indian texts, scriptures and epics. The first thing we should do is to STOP calling Ramayan and Mahabharat as Hindu Mythologies. They are not Myths and the word Hindu did not exist during Ramayan and Mahabharat.
The Hindu is like a gem shining a light on the world .That is quite enough to save us from catastropies that holy books are prophecising.That is what consciousness is all about.We are one humanity with all the other beings in nature.

Those culture and values depending on only text and books have maximum probability to be destroyed or manipulated therefore in sanatan philosophy values and culture are kept in our hearts and passed on to new generation verbally. 'ब्राह्मणो! *कर्ण* और शल्य आदि बलवान, धनुर्वेदपरायण तथा *लोकविख्यात क्षत्रिय जिसे झुका ( तक) न सके* , उसी धनुषपर अस्त्र ज्ञानसे शून्य और शारीरिक बलकी दृष्टि से अत्यन्त दुर्बल यह निरा ब्राह्मण-बालक कैसे प्रत्यंचा चढ़ा सकेगा ।। ४-५ ।।
There's a fallcy in this translation. Yatkarņa can be translated as "to perform". So Karņa's mention here is a mistranslation. Kisari Mohan Gangulli translated it without mentioning Karņa and it makes sense since Karņa was considered a Suta, and the Brāhmanas present at the Swyamvar did not know of Karņa's true varņa. Also, as Karņa himself mentions to Shri Krishna in Karna Upanivada Parva that he has always married among Sutas, it doesn't make sense for him to participate. Hence Draupadi's rejection on caste basis is bogus and an interpolation. Karna was just a bystander in the event like Shri Krishna and the Yadavas and had no reason to even try to participate.

Few scholars narrate Ramayan in Kumaun region which mention that Devi SITA was born out of a sneeze of Ravan therefore she was daughter of Ravan. Such things should also be covered in your episodes.

A great person like Buddha never did all these things, even in US, Henry Thoreau never did all these things. If we start justifying every misdeeds of the History by using this TIME angle then we lose our ability to criticize. Then, is there nothing wrong in the behaviour of Shri Rama ? Yes there are as he was also a human being, he would have made some mistakes. Let us accept it, as it was Ithihasa . . .
Ramayana and Mahabharata are our history books not scriptures. History will have good and bad.

The Yugas timings are grossly exaggerated. It lasts thousands not hundread thousands of years. The last yuga ended between 409 and 500 AD. Blind faith is the reason why Hinduism failed.
