This man rarely speaks bad of his opponents before and after the fight. Even before he was praising Danny in the press conferences until Angel started going off like usual. Outside the ring he's as humble as can be but inside he turns into a warrior.

I think the fight was good but honestly in round 5 or 6 you knew Garcia had no chance and the fight lost its excitement at that point. Garcia said Thurman ran late in the fight but Garcia was so cautious and not throwing punches and Thurman was throwing and landing more if Garcia engaged more he would have been hit alot and possibly stopped. Good win for Thurman and no need for rematch it was a clear win.

The split decision was bullshit that came when Garcia tried to come back at the end of the fight. round for round throughout the whole fight, Thurman was dominating with harder, flashier punches. Throughout the whole fight, it was obvious Thurman was clearly going to win. Most rounds, Thurman was wayyy ahead.

I couldn't believe this fight was a split decision. And judges only agreed on 4 rounds. I thought it was clear 116-112 for Thurman. Danny was trying and there were some great moments in the fight especially the first round but Thurman is showing he's constantly getting better. Great fight.
Thurman decided to run once he figured out he wasn't gonna hurt Danny .. So he put on his running shoes ..you heard he said he finessed the match .

Blue Jr: I disagree! There were a couple of times where Danny rolled his shoulder in defense of Thurmans right and over hand rights. However, Danny did not counter those misses. Floyd is a "Master" in timing those right hands, whatever way it's thrown. Thurman needs more than what he had here to beat Floyd. Only one man can beat Floyd I believe and that's "Ward".

What drug was the judge on that had garcia winning by 2 points? No way that was a split decision, thurman easily won by 4-5 points. This is the reason i won't pay for a boxing fight again. Get some good judges, and 5 judges including the ref instead of 3. Kovalev -ward was a disgrace! This was close to that if garcia would have won. Thurman won unanimous!

Some people forget what the sweet science is all about. I thought this fight was going to be a war but Thurman showed he was multi dimensional and could make the adjustments to win and that's boxing not just swinging for the fence until someone gets knocked out.

I like both fighters but Thurman ran after the 7th round he understood he wasn't gonna hurt him or get the knockout and felt Danny's power and decided to stay away from contact ..good tactic and boxer IQ but keep the same energy .

BS, on the reporter's question as to whether Thurman felt that he was taking a risk in the later rounds when he took his foot off of the gas pedal a little bit. That was no re-enactment of "De La Hoya vs Trinidad". Keith boxed beautifully in those later rounds and I was really impressed with how he was able to box on the back foot. He would still hurt Danny and commit even while on the back foot. Not his fault that Danny couldn't cut the ring on him and make him commit more. He intelligently force Danny to fight his fight and Danny came up short. I like both guys, but Thurman was the better man last night. No way this was a split decision, that judge needs glasses.

The words and mindset of a true champion! Every word so spot on, articulate and gracious! Keith won convincingly! For the majority of the fight it was Keith that pressed and was the aggressor. The only reason he "ran" or boxed smart in the latter is because he was clearly ahead! Danny and Angel sated that Danny was the aggressor and pressed to the end. NO, he only pressed at the end because it was a go for broke situation because he was so far behind! The Garcia camp should feel honoured that they received a spilt decision! I don't see anyone calling that bogus including Keith, but I think a split decision was ridiculous! Danny looked good, no disrespect, but Keith clearly won in all areas, simple as that! Congratulations CHAMP!

Thurman brought the fight to Danny in the first 6-7 rounds, then eased up as the fight went along. Even when he was moving around, he was still throwing as much as Danny was.
