Solving the IMPOSSIBLE Bottle Puzzle!!

- Today I'm going to be attempting to solve this impossible bottle puzzle! It's a tricky puzzle where a bolt and nut are attached to a wooden cylinder and you have to unscrew the bolt and remove all the contents. The hardest part is putting it all back together again. Hope you enjoy!

My mate has made a puzzle like this but with only three components, the wooden peg which is a pretty close fit in the bottle neck, a bolt and a nut. It cannot be taken apart the same way as it was put together, in other words its best left as it is.
I have this puzzle. It took me 20 minutes to get it apart, however it took me almost 2 days to get it back together. So good on ya Chris. Better puzzler than I.
It took me 20 to 25min to take it apart and put it back together plus Chris forgot the pin in the bottom hole. Mic drop

Then it must be possible to fuse the bottle around the cards without the plastic melting
open bottle at the bottom, put cards in, fuse bottom onto bottle. carefully.
@@leporid257 Put lid on bottle (without base), put cards in, pour in small glass beads or similar to absorb the heat, then heat the base rim and apply base; when cool, take lid off and pour out the glass beads. Job done.
A direct quote from the creator himself: " The deck of cards has gone in through the hole at the top of the milk bottle, the bottle hasn't been altered in any way." I would imagine that this bottle has been closely examined by the folks at Ripley's who were unable to find the solution. Other wise I doubt they would include it into their world famous collection. David Blaine owns one, as does director, J.J. Abrams. I think I know how he was able to do it. Sadly, it involves a contract which requires you to sign using your own blood.

I think the bottle with the deck of cards could possibly be assembled like this:
1. The bottle is formed without a bottom, or the bottom is cut off.
2. The cards are covered with a square of insulating cloth (about the size of a paper towel), such that the edges of the insulator are sticking out the neck of the bottle.
3. The bottle is clamped upside-down, and the bottom is fused on.
4. Much of the heat radiates upward, and the cards are insulated from any other heat, so the shrink-wrap won't melt.
5. Afterward, the insulator can freely be pulled out through the top of the bottle.
I dont think it was put together that way, but if it was- something like sand or salt could be used to protect the cards, and then simply dumped out.

A layer of ice would provide good protection too, with constant cooling if needed. Considering this is how they harvest delicate berries, shouldn't be too difficult

I know this is super late but the pin is supposed to go through the bottom hole, part of the puzzle is to remove the pin as well. Not sure how yours "fell" out or whatever, but your version was a bit easier because of this.

Somebody solved this puzzle before, but then didn't put it back together correctly.
Came here to post the same thing. I had this as a kid. The pin makes it quite a bit harder

You did the reverse process the hard way through. The bottom hole is diagonal for a reason as you could use the pin on an angle to help put the bolt in place :)

I didn't search for the answer either. I figured it out as soon as you showed the diagonal hole. It would allow the COTTER PIN to be put in the hole and slide with the dowel rod into the bottle.

It's amazing how these puzzles can teach you a life lesson, when i first watched I thought "sure you can undo it but putting it back together is impossible" when it was completley possible all along.

Chad Folmar a couple of reasons. I had a back injury that left my legs numb for a year, and then we had a couple of deaths in the family. I didn’t really have the time for a long time, then I just got out of practice.

When you glassblowing you can just make the bottom part, then put the cards. Make the top part, heat the 2 sides red and get it together. That is the only way i see 👀

Fairly certain someone has probably said this a few hundred times. But that lockpick this is known as a cotter pin. They’re used to keep nuts in place on bolts. Great video!

The rivet is actually called a bolt. The lock pick thingy is actually called a cotter pin.

paulo victor victor a cotter pin is used to ensure a bolt doesn't loosen. There is usually a hole in the bolt or a castle shaped nut that you stick the cotter pin through and bend it, so any relative rotation between the nut and bolt is resisted by that pin.
Usually used to things you REALLY don't want loosening, like the wheel to a motorcycle, or axle on a car. Google castle nut and cotter pin.

The angeled hole is for the pin. The puzzle wasn't complete when you started
exactly the comment I was looking for, the puzzle was broken or not correctly assembled/reassembled because the pin is supposed to be taken out after the nut is unscrewed.
I personally didn't like that he kept calling the pin thing a lockpick.
The Bolt was also put in the wrong way, the screw and ball should be on the bottom when loosening it.
I'm pretty sure almost everyone here would prefer to just throw it at a wall.
Personally, I'd use a shotgun because I love overkill.
