Thanks for that amazing tip! I had problems in floor 2 with Navia, Bennett, Yelan and Zhongli and only got 35 stars in total…now tried again with my new Xianyun and this setup and voilà: 36 stars:)
Hoyo typically makes abyss that favors recently released characters, its been like that for awhile.

A Navia+Furina team just makes those 2 snakes super easy. For first half I didn't even bother with attempting to group, I just ran a Chevreuse + Hu Tao overload team with Fischl and off-field Raiden. C6 Chevreuse so it blew things to pieces but not quite as fast as a team with grouping. Then Furina (C2) + Navia (c0 w/ signature weapon) + Ningguang + Kokomi. I did it on day of reset so no Xianyun yet for the run, but even then the second half didn't stand a chance even though I didn't have the Xianyun/Yelan mobility. I also have Navia on an MH set, so I'm effectively running 96/220 crit... Every gunbrella shot crits and hits hard. Navia and Furina w/ any burst healer just dominates anything that isn't geo immune.
Fun! Can't 3-star Wenut because my best Navia team is Furina NatGeo and the Burst Animations/AoE for Bennet and XL are too tight for this boss. Xianyun is a great idea.
Can i replace furina and yelan with bennett and xingqiu?
Navia's front-loaded damage makes these bosses so much easier!
Would switching Yelan with Bennet be better for this comp? Im still kinda new to the game, and not too sure how swirls work. Xianyun is going to be the first Anemo character i'll ever build 😅
well shark's using yelan and furina for hydro resonance which gives 25% hp which good for furina and yelan since they both scale of hp

Does anyone know why a core made of xianling-xingqui-bennet is called “National”? They are not from the same nation…
If I remember correctly the name has its origin in the chinese community. In china the best sports teams are national teams. Thus national has a slightly different meaning in china in the context of teams. It just means "the best" team. Its apparently not unique to genshin. In many Chinese games good and accessible teams are called national for the reason mentioned before

I don’t understand either why everyone focuses so much on floor 12…yes, it IS the ultimate challenge of how strong your teams/characters are…but Genshin Impact is so much more than the abyss…and floor 12 is mostly either boring, frustrating or a waste of time
the most important thing is supports. i only beat spiral abyss with 36 stars in 4.3 and ive been playing since 2.0! just keep building your supports and with time and practice youll get it
