Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (PS2) Full Game

- A full no commentary playthrough of the PS2 version of Star Wars The Force Unleashed (2008) being played on the PCSX2 emulator.
Most if not all graphical bugs and whatnot are probably due to the emulator and not the game itself, however I do remember this version being quite buggy.
I really enjoyed going through all the battlefront games and recording a playthrough on them, so I decided to do it again with the different versions of TFU.

All you have to do is watch the opening cutscene when Vader is landing to know which is better. I was mind blown as a kid when I saw 501st stormtroopers alongside Vader! While other versions may have “looked” better , this version includes so many minor details that Star Wars fans can appreciate💯
The storytelling was objectively better in this one.
@@ThomasBoyce5000It really was. Proxy trying to kill Starkiller was kinda lame, so I'm glad in the Wii/PS2 versions that was all but cut. And Starkiller pulling a Stardestroyer out of the sky was too unreasonable for me, so in this version having him blow up the bridge making the ship crash on its own was much more believable.
PS2 is the best version of this game.

i always thought the prologue made more sense with this version. the death star isn’t even finished at the end of this game, meaning starkiller would have to be a kid RIGHT at the turnover of the republic, meaning those 501st suits make much more sense.
My favorite part about this game is not only the more content, but the variety of troopers we fight, and how its more of the transition period we got 501rst Storm Clones, the Navy Commandos, shadow troopers, trooper styled royal guards, the most badass version of the imperial jet Troopers I've seen. The dope ass AT-ST on our return to Kashyykk. This game is fantastic and ill never forget the joy playing this back in 08

I think the PSP version is even better because of the extra modes even though it looks worse than the PS2 version.

I believe this version of the Force Unleashed Story is the definitive one. Maybe it's just my bias having grown up on this version, but it felt way more authentic than the HD ports
I played both - the PS2 version, as a kid, and the PS3, as a teen.
Therefore, I have all the property to say - they may complement one another on one or two things, but the PS2 was definitely superior!

I still remember as a kid getting this game christmas morning and playing that prologue I was fully immersed in the game I think for most of the day. This game and Rogue Trooper are two games from my childhood that I have vivid and very fond memories of.

This game was ahead of its time on the PS2. A phenomenal game - soundtrack, graphics and gameplay are top notch. The atmosphere and ambience is really good. This PS2 version is better than the PS3 and I've played them both several times.

I have played this game so many times since my childhood and i never knew that you could get into Lightning lock with Kazden Paratus until I watched your video
The PS2 version of this game is so much better. I’ve played both PS2 and 360/PS3/PC versions, but neither of them compare to PS2

Didn't even know this came out on the ps2, that's extremely impressive they were able to get this to all run on such hardware. had a 360 by the time this came out so i was shocked recently to see this even existed.

Today was the day I learned that this game is on pa2, I only knew of it from my 360!
I remember when I was really young coming into my mom’s work so she could watch me and every time we would pack up those big ass box T.Vs like the ones with the vhs player inside the tv and I would also pack up my ps2 with force unleashed on it and we would hook up the console and T.V in the back room of her workplace and I would just play that game all day long. I even remember one time while I was playing one of her coworkers came in and she saw me playing force unleashed and said “omg is that force unleashed I love this game” and she showed me tips and tricks for the game
Which button is to target an enemy im playing ppsspp with joystick and i dont know how to do it? And the guard is it posible to change it? With my control the square is the attack and the guard at same time.
I played the ps2 version years ago when it first dropped because i didn’t have anything more that could play it.
Just today played thru the pc/360/ps3 version (all the same version of the game just different hardware and controller.)
Gotta say, ps2 version has some dialog not in the pc version. But the opposite is also true.
I prefer the version of this game that released on PS3 and Xbox 360, mainly because that is the version I grew up on.

Shadows and VFX are missing on this PCSX2 build. It should be fixed on recent Nightly builds now, making the game look even better.

I am so glad I bought this game. Still have a working ps2 and have the cheats for it memorized for infinite health and infinite force power. Before I knew the codes this game was really hard after you go to the jedi temple the third time.
Krome Studios or someone at Sony gotta make this port available for PS4 & PS5 just like The Clone Wars this the only game that hasn’t had a port yet

I was wondering why the one on ps plus looked weirder than I remembered!!! Holy shit the opening scene was way better in this!
While the textures look like mud, I feel like some of these models look more detailed than in the "true" versions. Kazdan Paratus' Junk Titan here looks like it's built from actual droid parts, unlike even in the PC versions, it looks like the Titan was made from some random pieces of scrap. Even the Vulture Droid head looks barely like one.
I also like the Jedi Temple sections and how the Raxus Prime had some side questing with Drexl.
They need to release this version of Force Unleashed for the PS4 & Ps5 Anything to play this again😫😫😫😫😫😫😩😩😩😩
Aside from combat, the ps2 version was way better designed, you could choose where to go, change outfits and customize your gear in the ship

I take back what I said in the last video I found this is the version I was looking for all this time side note the last video was ultimate with on Xbox and I just remembered how everything looks different and it sucks because of the force powers map layouts and Camara angle the fact that you can't slice apart Storm troops ect

The PS2 and Wii version have more levels more skins and more lightsaber colors the Wii version had multiplayer very fun version the Wii version of the Force Unleashed 2 is very fun too was like a sequel of this version of the Force Unleashed
Was the empire still using clones in the prologue?
The prologue couldn't have been more than a year or two after Anakin became Vader, considering that Vader must have trained Starkiller for well over a decade and the game canonically takes place in the year 2 BBY (2 years before the Battle of Yavin).
I believe so yes, i think i saw it somewhere that the troopers we see and throughout the game until we get on the death to save the senators are clone troopers, in the first part where we are on the wookie homeworld they have blue markings just like the 501st legion which anakin lead during the clones war and after he became vader the name was changed to vaders fist. and the armor they wore not sure if it’s still canon but the armor they were wearing was phase 3 armor just before the iconic storm trooper armor gets issued.

I played it first on 360 so it was a completely different game and for the time it was actually the most realistic game visually in the slow walking open, with great physics, great powers, everything look and felt real, and YOU felt like a villain.

this is literally the same version but with more content, better voice acting, plot and details. Vader at night with the 501st, with the AT-AT assault and gunships landing, is infinitely better.
