I like this game. Never even heard of it before it was offered as a free PS Plus game this month. It's really fun and because so much is procedurally generated, it's a slightly different game every time you play.
Ever since I learned about this game from your channel, I'm holding fingers crossed for a physical release of this game. Hope Limited Run Games picks it up. It looks so good!

Out of curiosity and because I can't look it up atm, how much does having a shield change your i-frames for parrying? I've gotten parrying down for a lot of the more basic guys, but a lil extra leeway sounds like it could on the things I'm having some trouble with.

I really don't like most of the 2 handed weapons (especially dynamite the controls are wonky on PS5) and I'm at a loss on what to spend my skulls on first, I've gotten 3 of the altars restored so far and 3 decent starting powers.
I agree. Parrying in this game is almost frame perfect, stupid hard to do, and not reliable as a strategy. I've lost so many runs to misparry its not even funny.
Spend a few minutes practicing. First make a game on the second slot. Turn assist mode on on this slot NOT your main one as it marks a slot forever. Now turn on no death in assist mode and parry everything possible with no fear of death. After practicing return to your main account as a god. It is fun to get good. Even corruption projectiles, arrows can be parried. Practice both with a shield and without.
Seriously ? You just need experience the timing to parry every enemy pattern. Don't being affraid to try. After you successfully parry some attacks, you would memorize the timing and it'd stick to your muscle memory. Mostly enemies ai only have 2 attack patterns and it's quite telegraped by your reflex to parry it. The timing is so LENIENT. Only abominion, avatar of jaguar and eagle have more varied attacks than other. Even they are still easy to be parried.
The worst tips video I ever saw, like 15 tips for guys who played this game less than 1 hour. - try to not die - buy stuff - parry and dodge things - don't tank stuff
This has to be the wordt tips and tricks video ive ever seen you literally just said "play thr game" nothing more like give some tricks or tipps soemthing about the game mechanics etc and not "remove allways the most annoying curse" or "dont take damage you will die" like wtf man we know everyone know that
This game deserves so much more attention. It is such a good roguelike and has both a dark setting and tone, which I am a big fan of.

There is a curse thats along the lines of “of u take damage u hallucinate but u can roll for no stamina cost” an i was like “thats useful though”

"Its not a fast past game" except them rare runs you have an absolutely God their build and jist run through enemies including the bosses.

“Whips are great at keeping enemy’s at a distance” 2:08 Breh they pull the enemy’s towards you
I think that's only for the power attack

What are all the things you can parry in the Eagle temple and can you parry any of the first champions moves( K’ax taca lord of storm)
Yes you can parry K'ax laser and his homing ground bullet.
