There’s data on FGM ( it has nothing to do with religion or politics but rather a Health Care issue ) I urge every Gambia to do the research and get informed on the physical, physiological, mental, emotional, sociological trauma women/girls endure . It is perplexing why these extremists men ( they have not gone through the same trauma ) are demanding & dictating how women should live their lives. Women should control their own bodies period . No body is disparaging Islam . This ritual is a custom / tradition & it is past time to eliminate FGM . Lets have cooler heads & talk issues out positively with indecent language. Anger never builds any good . Love & harmony.
