- Hi, I'm Nancy and Welcome to my channel "Nancy's Magic Touch & DIY's". In today's video I am sharing 3 thrift store makeovers. These makeovers are in memory of my mom and in memory of all the good berries she has picked for us during our childhood. These are some of my favourite childhood memories not to mention the memories of eating those beautiful wild fresh berries she would pick with joy and love. I hope you'll enjoy these diys and this video, because this video as brought warmth and peace to my heart.

My mom has been gone for nearly 30 years and I still come across little things once in awhile that instantly fill my heart with memories. The older I get, the more those little reminders bring me comfort instead of sadness. I'm glad you are finding ways to honor your mother and surround yourself with the beauty and love she clearly shared with you. The baskets are all really lovely too.... Thanks for sharing!

Sorry for the loss of your mother. It is beautiful that you created items in memory of your mom. My father and I always went berry picking together. I really miss that. Thanks for bringing back the memories.

I love all your berry baskets ! Your mom would be so proud of you .The precious story behind just makes the berries that much sweeter . I have very found memories of picking fruits with my grandparents. We went to the fields and they had Strawberry patches . It was so much fun . I would love to make some just like these. Oh my sweet friend 🌺 this is so touching … great memories and although heart breaking that your mom passed away I like to think that people we love never dies … they send us little signs to remind us that they are never far away… angels that look over us 🙏 I can see these baskets also in gift and speciality shops that sells homemade jams and these baskets being part of the decor!!! My mom always enjoyed picking blueberries, or “blubes” she called them. It seems like we always went on the hottest and most humid day of the summer. We would pick buckets full, and then she would freeze most of them for us to enjoy all year round.

These are lovely, especially the raspberry one. My late mother worked on a fruit farm during my childhood. We kids were running around all over the place and joining in. One of my earliest memories is in a field of strawberries.

What a lovely tribute to your mom with these berry baskets! I too have picked many blueberries in Algonquin Park, and lots of local strawberries with my parents. I cannot say it was one of my most enjoyable jobs, lol, but I certainly enjoyed the pies she made with those tasty berries! Raspberries are my favorite though, so I think that basket is the one I like best. I also have those cloths and have one draped out of my red Kitchenaid mixer and one draped over by my coffee bar! Red always makes me happy!😁. Looking forward to your next projects!

I just bought those same floral/ berry picks and signs. I am decorating my kitchen in a berry and daisy theme. Will you be showing how you style them ?. I would love to see !
