- Should you buy a last-of-the-line AMG C63 with the V8 engine? We do one last review of the C63 before it switches its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 for a hybrid four-cylinder.
The Mercedes-AMG C63 S was sold in Australia in sedan and wagon, but there are still come coupe and convertibles remaining because they were built for longer. They have a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine making 375kW (502 hp) and 700Nm of torque. Next year, the new C63 will arrive with a plug-in hybrid four-cylinder engine with 500kW/1020Nm.

These last V8s will be a good investment, who the hell wants to spend $200k only to tell people it runs a 4 cylinder EV, so will either be silent or sound like an enhanced fart.
We're living in a sad time for the car industry. I'd rather be born in 2050 and never know about ICE cars than living in a time when good sounding cars are going extinct.
Had one for 3 years. It’s just beautiful to drive. Despite shitty Victorian roads.

The W204 might have the 6.3L engine but the transmission sucks balls compared to this one.

Snapped up 2017 E43 with 24k on the odometer. It’s not V8, but should provide plenty of emotion for the next 5 years. We are witnessing generation shift, but I will always prefer engine noise to silence.

I think they are low-speed crash related things things - but we don't get them in Australia (thankfully)

I don't think people will bother with the 4cyl hybrid C63. The C43 is plenty enough without the added weight and loss of boot space of the hybrid battery in the C63.

I prefer the w205 interior & technology over the w206 & it's MBUX technology. The w205 has a sweet spot of technology, analog and haptic feedback.

My Tesla model 3 rear wheel drive base model cost 60k.
Some dipshit in a v8 c63 was desperate for a drag off the lights today. Yes he was faster, but only by about 1 second to 100kmh. I was 20 metres ahead till the60kmh mark, he had to literally floor it to get in front of the tesla.
This thing with all its noise and bluster with that eye watering price tag, basically embarrassed itself barely beating a stocko model 3.
Love it.
