When I lived in Japan, one of Japanese colleagues visited India. He said India is the only place on earth where you can visit multiple countries with a single Visa as Indian states are so much diverse. Each Indian state feels like a different country with different unique cultures.

Notice how none of these "beautiful India" videos focus on the cities themselves. For a good reason. Take a walk through Delhi or Varanasi and all of a sudden it's not so beautiful anymore. India has a lot of work to do before it can consider itself to be "beautiful". Yes it has potential and the people are intelligent, but we have a lot of work to do in improving our social standards and culture. We have to invest, develop, and make sacrifices, and not just pat ourselves on the back for having nice foggy mountains (which btw are not "created" by Indians, they were just there to begin with, there's no "pride" to be taken from that)
