How to replace 1992 Ford Ranger 3.0L Rear Freeze Plugs

  • How I replaced my Rear Freeze Plugs on the 92 Ranger xlt 2wd 3.0L. Transmission previously removed. Rent a Transmisson Jack if you have to, or make one.
    Estimated cost $800-$2000!
    Part cost - $1.36 for plugs, $8.00 for the gasket seal
    DIY! Save some Damn $$$$!

    I appreciate the perseverance and patience in a real world scenario. Many videos cut in and out but you stick with it.
    I was yelling into my phone when you dry fitted the first one into the block without locktite or permatex LOL.
    Well done, I am waiting for my M5OD rebuild kit to arrive and I have the transmission/driveshaft/transfer case sitting there and I spotted my block heater leaking .So now I have another thing to do.
    Keep up the down to earth informative videos!!

    My nephew said he needs to replace his plugs. I didn't even know there were any in the rear of the block

    Hey, I've never done this before and I'm kind of concerned. Did you actually put those freeze plugs in backwards? Or does it matter personally, I would go ahead and put them in the same way I took them out. Just asking for a friend😮
