I've been saying this for years about the cost of these interceptor missiles. In 2021 Hamas fired 10,000 cheap shed made rockets at Israel and almost completely exhausted Iron dome. To such an extent they had to beg the US for more... This reality goes way back to that famous US naval exercise, I think it was called 'something 02' where they were attacking an 'unnamed middle east country' and swarms of drones both in the air and on water sank half the US navy in a matter of hours. They predictably cancelled the exercise and changed the parameters. The upshot is you won't find a single US navy ship within a hundred miles of the persian gulf..
