    Regarding solder, gotta say thay flux is the most important aspect. I use pine pitch. Smells wonderfull and gives me beautifull solder junctions.

    Okay so two things one the coils idea is great, but catch 22 is that u will need an iron core to be used to generate a magnetic field for neodymium magnets to pull against to generate the field the coils can collect that field to generate ac voltage, also be sure friend to use sheet metal top n bottom covers with 1 fin bent down on top cover n one bent up for top cover, for each coil used it will dubble the coils even tho it's 12 coils total 12x 2 =24 total stators but will act like a 24 coils, u could also add two sets of coils of that design but a 3 phase is not needed only a 2 phase is needed but 3 phase generates 3 separate fields for each coil set, the point is u can make it much lighter n better using one long wire split up into two or one coil, only up side to a 3 phase is u can have switching current to charge 3 battery's and or caps at one time using a bridge rectifier can do this on smaller more simple set up n needs less rpms to turn as well so many diffent ways to build these motors delta motors is common use in most motors these days but not always needed to generate power just need a collector n a way to keep volts from passing back to coils. Sorry if confusing just know there are better ways to use much smaller motors designs one known is those electric fire places with the rotating fire, reflectors n leds or ac test bulbs as the fire light, any way those motors have gears in them that reduce motor rotor with fixed magnetic on shaft, the gearing is 68 turns of rotor to 1 turn of the shaft, gearing is a myst use as 300 rpms is too slow I have a video showing this motor making 140ac volts up to 300ac volts on my channel also no conver was needed for a cell phone charger was used wired to phone power brick worked well at low rpms

    Hi Jack i am from South Africa and we got many power cuts also want to try to build a Vertical wind turbine for city. Can you please tell me why don't you use thinner copper cables for higher voltage and lower Amps? Great build.

    Great video what is the wind cut in for the turbine?

    • @blackjackaxialfluxturbines4174
      @blackjackaxialfluxturbines4174  Před 4 lety

      YT isn't notifying me on comments? The cut in is 150 rpm, at this speed you'll see 2 amps depending on area and height. Tims turbine is at 10,000 ft in elevation so his is different because of air density. He just called me the other day and told me he had too take it down. Because his pole needs to be a lot more rigid! So he's inserting a pipe into the existing pipe to stiffen it up. But with the Midnite Classic 150 it also helps with cut in and full output! Thanks for the comment :)
