if you go to Wikipedia and search for "List of oldest living people" you'll see 50 people listed still alive today born before 1914. I'm surprised the cult hasn't used that page as their own advertisement, although, I would think none of those 50 people belong to this false organization so maybe that doesn't really count.

We universally understood this to mean that one would have to have been at least 14 years of age. So, actually, these ones would be 124 years old now !

At some point, their new light was to not argue. However, how are they ever supposed to come to true understanding if all they are allowed to do is accept the understanding of a few men? The title of the book is called ‘Reasoning’. They aren’t reasoning at all, they just accept what they read in this book and happily change their beliefs when the GB chooses to reason differently. It is men’s reasoning, not even their own.
Because when the reasoning book came out there were about 1 million...now there are 8 and too many hands on the steering wheel. So it's a practical matter.
One thing I notice about her calls is once they realise how critical she is and how much sense she’s making they stop even attempting to rebut but say like “you’re not really interested are you you are just trying to argue” hahah
Answer a question with a straw man argument 😑 I was a witness and am so sad they can’t even stand up against a legit question. “Try to find truth” as he stated, vs “in the truth” VERY different. They speak with such authority and haughtiness all the while sounding so pitiful. And as soon as you outsmart them they start throwing insults and questioning who you are instead of staying on subject. You Bridget were one of the people that showed me that the JW could not hold their ground. Not that I necessarily agree completely with your stand on all things but because they can’t even hold a conversation showed me they don’t have what they claim. That’s not true!!! I’m an exJW. I read the Bible all the time. I read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation 3 times. But that is what helped me to see I didn’t have “The Truth”, as they say. It also made me not believe in the Bible anymore. Too many contradictions, fairytales (a donkey speaking etc.) and cruelty ordered in the name of God. How Paul gives orders to Women to be quiet in Church and submissive to their husbands - all of that became unacceptable to me.

The prophecy of Proverbs. I'm an atheist but I just can't stomach listening to what I know to be minutes of inane attempts at explanations from him. How do JWs get to pick and choose what's a prophecy and what isn't? To me, who have no horse in the race, it seems to be just a statement of how the life and wisdom gets richer of a righteous person. Not about biblical understanding. Specifically for the end times. And if it's biblical understanding, then how can there be so many jumps in understanding and sometimes going back to previous understandings!?

Curious how witnesses are all supposed to go house-to-house of strangers and "debate" them at their doorsteps, but they are not supposed to debate in public since "that's not done in good spirit".
