IMO, it's absolutely worth it. Yea, it's got the gacha thing that can be annoying, but you certainly don't need to spend money on it. The Battle Pass is absolutely amazing because you actually get stuff for playing the game instead of having to wait 4 tiers before getting a reward on the free track (seriously, please do this more often games, it feels so good to get actually rewarded for playing the game). Honestly, my only gripe about it is how slow it feels to get the currency needed to upgrade skills and get new Super Attacks but even then, it's not enough to stop me from having fun. Personally, I'm looking forward to what is coming with the game. It feels like such a breath of fresh air in the Dragon Ball gaming which has been, understandably, dominated by "You get to play as iconic Dragon Ball characters to fight to the death!" so this game being a massive hide and seek basically from the perspective of a normal citizen is extremely enjoyable.

In my opinion, its fun; But I feel like for the kind of game it is, its better to wait maybe a few months and let more content drop. I only got it for the Crossover Content in Xenoverse 2. It definitely needs more content though, 3 raiders and no diversity in Survivor Transpheres is tiring after a while.
I would disagree on wait a few months, in a few months this game will be down 70% of it's population. It's a side project game, enjoy it and have fun with it, it will be dead by December, with occasional population spikes with new raider releases.
There is really no way to learn the combat either. I got destroyed the few times I played Raider because I could Ki Blast or kick, couldnt do the melee rush at all. As a survivor, you have such a short time to fight and you lose all of it quickly if the raider is better than you.
You forgot to mention "teaming" where a raider and a survivor are helping each other out, but yes randoms that keep the dragon balls to themselves are very annoying as hell, i don't understand but when a raider downs that survivor i let them die cause they are putting us at risk when not cooperating
