      Best way to watch for people just getting into it is to record the race then on Monday you skim through it. It avoids any boring sections that can be turn offs. But when it's a plate race and everyone's bunched up? That's the most fun you can have watching any type of race imo. But all sports have boring games and NASCAR gets boring huge wins too. It's all about praying for that .2 second win lol

    I wish that there was video and sound quality as good as this back in the 80s before they went to restrictor plates. As great as this sounds, you should have heard how great the unrestricted V8's sounded in the 80s!

    • @CorruptInfinityOfficial
      @CorruptInfinityOfficial Před 3 lety +51

      There’s plenty of videos of people starting late 70’s and 80’s nascars on CZcams. They sound exactly the same actually restrictor plates barely changed the sound until they added the boom tubes to the exhaust setups. That sound difference is the result of using different style exhaust collectors. That’s why formula one exhaust sounds like one continuous note at mid-high rpm, because it modifies the exhaust note.

    Well I did! It's one heck of a feeling and vibration. I the cars made the last turn headed to the Finish Line area, it was a scary feeling!
    I NEVER was able to get any pictures, my camera simply wasn't fast enough to capture Pictures or Videos!

    my first was my favorite driver bobby labontes 500th start. a richmond weekend my neighbors invited me too when i was in middle school. I first saw the secondary race the day before which he was also in, but the noise I heard on the cup race the first lap made me smile oh so wide. it is loud as heck and you somehow get used to it as the race goes on.

    ....My family and I were walking up and over the race track on a bridge (Chicago) that get's you into the venue. Then boom the cars whizzed by in a tight formation. The whole group turned around looked at each other and said Wow we are 100 Nascar fans-forever. Right then in that moment. Done! We were laughing giggling. The energy of those cars on that track is crazy amazing. Big smiles. I finally get it!

      A lot of people make fun of it but it really is a serious Motorsport, and it isn’t just confined to round round races. They do all sorts of road courses and NASCAR itself has a couple different classes of racecar, you might like the Aussies’ V8 Supercar series, they mainly do road courses and tracks and are much more handling focused

    I've been to Pocono and this video does no justice to actually being there. I grew up in South Philly, so we used to take the subway into Center City. If you've ever been in the subway, you kind of feel the train coming and then as the train comes into sight it is pushing a wall of air ahead of it and then rolls up on you. Well multiply that by 1000% and that is what it kind of feels like except the wall is moving at 200mph with a lot of thunder that you can feel in your gut. You will never forget it.
