BMW E89 Air Con Cleaning

Today I run through the steps in cleaning the air conditioning system. This cleanses and freshens all of the ducting and air system to prevent bacterial build up and remove any bad odours that may occur.
This video is neither sponsored nor is monetised in any way by K2, I found their products on eBay and found them very easy to use, but I'm certainly happy to recommend them (I even used the same kit on my wife's Ford Kuga.
Sorry for the lateness in uploading this video, alas I've been very busy with other BMW related work recently. I am working on upcoming Z4 retrofits and some other work that will be filmed along the way and these will be uploaded very soon.

Pollen filter door slides sideways. I found mine full of leaves. I fitted a wire mesh in front of air intake under the black trim in front of windshield. The ends of the black trim is open allowing the leaves in.
Silly design.

What happened to all the foam in the vents, you didn't show us that?

I noticed your infotainment system flashed the Android logo. What kind of upgrade is that? I'm still using the system when i got the car in 2012, and would like to upgrade

@khristiankowalski at the time of doing the video, I had an Android Touchscreen fitted. This was connected to a standard radio headunit (it can be fitted in place of the flip up screen of the iDrive system). Since then, I have removed that and retrofitted the full iDrive system and connected an mmi box. The mmi box gives the addition of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (depending on your phone type).
