Hey man I've been playing the game these past couple days and wanted to ask, what are some ways to get more gold & gems without paying? other than watching ads.

Keep track of the payouts on the levels. Some pay way more. Play the high coin ones when you can get a x4 payout and yes, watch that add. Good luck.

Also if you do the Aircraft attack section you can get big chunk of money at one time. About 6-12000 each ship.
