- Hi, in this video i'll show all the weapons (Sounds & Reload Animations) with gameplay on Terminator: Resistance. The Terminator film saga is one of my favorites, with Terminator 2 being my favorite movie of all time. When Terminator: Resistance came out I confess that I didn't expect much because of the disappointment that were the last films in the saga, but when I played it I was amazed by the quality. The game is not the best, but it is a very faithful tribute to the Terminator universe. The game is set in the future war that was shown in the first films! Terminator: Resistance is a 2019 first-person shooter video game developed by Teyon and published by Reef Entertainment for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. It is based on the Terminator franchise, set during the original future war depicted in the films The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day. The game was released in Europe on November 15, 2019. In the United States, the Windows version was released a day earlier through Steam, while the other versions released on January 7, 2020. An enhanced version of the game for the PlayStation 5 was released on April 30, 2021.
Terminator: Resistance is set in a post-apocalyptic 2028 and 2029 Los Angeles. Players take on the role of Jacob Rivers, a soldier from the Resistance led by John Connor against Skynet's robotic killing machines. The game features multiple possible endings.
In November 2020, a free update included a new game mode called Infiltrator mode, allowing players to play as a T-800 infiltrator as it clears scavenger, resistance and Tech-Com patrols and hold-outs to locate an officer of the Resistance known as Daniel Ramirez.

Even though the animations don't look great, I feel like this is actually a rough gem of a videogame. Really feels like the devs put their hearts into this one, and that goes a long way.
EDIT: The new Robocop confirmed my beliefs: these devs care so much about the source materials they work with, I'm so happy they are going far.
Sadly, it shows the unfortunate importance of needing a high budget and expansive marketing.
They should definitely build on this game and make a part 2. Maybe part 2 has a T-1000 boss. Friggen love this game

This game is amazing, makes you feel like you are fighting for your life and reminds you how deadly terminators really are it's not perfect but it has heart and soul.
I love how they kept the original plasma weapon sounds.
Also the minigun sounds exactly like in T2

This video is PTSD for those of us that played through this game on the hardest difficulty. Terminators just don't go down like that and they focus fire you whenever possible.
Nevermind the fact their Aim was Lore accurate aswell (Literal Aimbots, as it should be)

This game reminds me of Aliens: Colonial Marines, if A:CM stuck to its guns and didn’t throw in generic human vs. human combat and didn’t fuck up the enemy AI.
FR it would have been an enjoyable game had they not fucked up the AI of the xenomorphs although I can see why they put enemy humans since otherwise the game would have grown monotonous quickly but they should have went with the Aliens fireteam elite way and used combat androids (yes I know fireteam elite came out like a decade after colonial marines but it's not like fireteam is a groundbreaking game) like imagine a weyland-yutani synthetic with a shredded head and a stump instead of an arm running at you with a grenade in the other hand
I'm very glad they went with the Franco Columbo terminator instead of old man Arnold like in all other recent games with him
Me too.. however I noticed they didn’t get the sound right for Columbo’s RSB 80.. it sounds so different in the movie and we didn’t ge that.

They seriously should’ve added the 12 gauge auto loader, especially in infiltrator mode
And it so very odd that the Infiltrator T-800 carry any guns with both hands as humans do, so as the recoil.
Oh yeah, that was the only gun they didn’t add in there. Kinda sad
My absolute favourite shotgun in the world, purely because of Jurassic Park and The Terminator.
I like how they added a feature where you can throw humans as the Terminator like in the movies but except this time you can actually kill them

My only gripe is how quickly the ballistic weapons become utterly useless in the campaign.
I know its lore accurate with t800s being hard to kill but still..
For some reason they don't have the HK G3, Barret M82 or Browning M2.
9mm or 5,56mm guns are useless against the T-800, even against the T-600...

The retrofitted, an M2 Browning, with violet and or red plasma
I loved every minute of this game, from start to finish
That the T-800 in the Dlc is still functional, even with that damage is almost a miracle

You know that I cannot even take the plasma weapons serious because the noise it makes when you shoot it since it sounds your playing real life laser tag but it’s deadly

I love this game. This is game made with heart. Hidden gem. Only this I don't like about weapons is how inaccurate their animations are (e.g. reloading). It wouldn't hurt to consult with someone who understand how guns work before implementing animations.

The animations are quite bad, the sounds too, i mean half of them are stock sounds. The lasers rifles sounds cool, identical to the movies so i give them the credit.

4:03 It used to be called the Westinghouse M95 Phased Plasma Rifle in the older supplemental stuff and I'm angry they changed the name. M95 sounds like a cooler name.
You know whats crazy about this game is? People hate it because it uses like cod reloading sounds. Or ya know. But in the End literally a game could use that sound. Its not the end of the world

My favorite weapons are Plasma Rifle V-25B Scoped (4:58) and Laser Guided RL-43 (10:34) - both weapons are laser !!!

I think laser traps are canon because they are mentioned in the first movie when kile reese goes to the underground bunker.
I wanna know the similarities between modern and plasma weapons. For example, rail plasma is similar to sniper rifle.

red plasma rifles are first gen plasma weapons, not as powerful as the purple plasma weapons which are second generation

Fun fact, plasma is magnetic, so it's funny there is a weapon called Rail Plasma because technically all the plasma weapons would be plasma railguns or plasma coilguns since you need powerful magnets to fire plasma.
Also (not 100% Sure on this tho) Plasma weapons should have a fairly Limited range aswell, so a Plasma Sniper rifle concept doesnt make alot of sense
@@eagleclaws1781 There is a possible way around that. Normally plasma would dissipate in the air and not travel far like how blood spreads in water. You could magnetize the plasma, this "sheath" would act like a cage keeping it hold together and allow it to travel far like a bullet and hopefully hit a target before wearing off.
You could also fire a powerful stream of electricity as plasma travels along lightning, but at that point why even bother with the plasma when the electricity is enough to kill someone.
I REALLY hate the red when scoped or nightvision, it gives me a headache.

anyone know if its possible to use non-plasma weapons the whole game? like a perk or mod that lets you make them effective against terminators?
Don't think so no. If you do plan on doing an all ballistic-run. Your best bet on taking down the Terminators would be grenades or any explosives.
Been a while since I last played, I think the shotguns also stuns or knocks down Terminators. So use that to your advantage.
