    Very careful exegesis of Genesis, which unfortunately most do not have patience for. It would be much easier to adopt familiar narratives and then protect our prejudices. One may not agree with Enn's conclusions but alternative interpretations ought to be based on similar robust exegetical grounds.

    The Creation Myth was designed from earlier Creation Myth stories. It came from Babylon/Sumer Creation Myths. Written in the 2nd exile or 2nd temple period as a polemic to the other Myths.

    Enns offers an interesting middle ground. He is trying to approach the biblical narrative from a viewpoint where there is an element of "scriptural authority", while realm of science is accepted as real. This contrasts with the approach in which the bible is seen as a collection of writings across 800 years which have no coherence (especially not between the Old and the New Testament) and there is no necessity to find a balance of exegesis between Genesis and Romans.
