  • From the premiere of "Rudolph & Frosty: Christmas in July." Aired over Cleveland, OH ABC affiliate: WEWS-TV 5.
Part 1 of 2 in this particular 1979 tape.
I need to start prioritizing commercial break uploads on here, because I have a lot on the backlog that I need to make commercial break videos of. My job and my personal life have been getting in the way of me doing this, though. So expect a double upload through today and tomorrow!
This was a super lucky find in an eBay lot I got about a month ago. The lot was your typical fare of recordings, some home videos, some network TV from the late-90's/early-2000's. However, there was an outlier; two tapes that had typewritten labels on the spine and front of the tape. Both of them had tape stock that came from the late-70's. I popped one of them in, and sure enough, there were Christmas specials from December 1979 over various Cleveland, OH TV stations (commercial-free, unfortunately)!
This is from the second tape I popped in, and holy shit, when I say I was shocked to see ad breaks pop-up on this tape, I almost flew through the roof with what I was seeing. Prepare yourself, because you are about to see nearly *45 year old footage*!
    Enjoy, everyone!

6:50- The infamous "Hold That Mork" episode, when he tried out for the Denver Broncos' cheerleading squad. The competing episode of "ONE DAY AT A TIME on CBS {"Et Tu, Ann"} got better ratings, following "ARCHIE BUNKER'S PLACE".....and "MORK & MINDY" eventually returned to Thursday nights in January 1980.
