16:05 the colourful flags on the bridge are buddhist flags they are everywhere in northeast states and in the northern states of himachal jammu ladakh even in bengal there are lots of buddhist prayer flags

A real goosebump clip, thanks for showing. I had a similar experience while traveling from Ranikhet to Munsiyari (Uttarakhand) around 14 years back. I had my whole family, parents included, in an SUV, and I remember once my father scolding me as to why we were driving through such an inaccessible terrain. Surprisingly, my mom (who passed away this February) spurred us on. That was an amazing journey. However, I always imagined as to why we have not had innovative road engineering marvels, but then the next question is: why should we have such dangerous experiments in the first place? Regards

23:34, I'm also a Pahadi so use to such routes. Imam Ji on such narrow roads at some distance road is made broad so that vehicle can give a pass to each other. And, all seasoned drivers always stop at broad parts to give passes to incoming vehicles as any oncoming vehicle can be seen coming from very far away, also these routes have very little traffic so crossing 2 vehicles is a very rare incident. In my village, in old days our domestic animals can sleep for hours and hardly 2-3 vehicles pass on it in a day. ;-) ;-)

Dharamshala se Kullu ki taraf jatey huye Jogindernagar se aagey koi accident hua pada tha aur road block ho chuki thi. Traffic ko kisi alternate raaste se Mandi ki taraf divert kiya gaya tha. Hum 2 gaadiyon mei family members thei. Uss super narrow diverted raaste par meri car ke saamne bus aa gayi. There wasn't enough space for the vehicles to cross each other. Tab mujhe 3.5 kilometres car reverse karni padi thi uss bus ko pass dene ke liye. But it was a thrilling and adventurous experience for me and my whole family members. It was a metaled road. 👍👍.

View the Kaza - Manali Route dekho, yeh doosra route hai rohtang pass hoke (aab to atal surang aa gaya), Ek lady Driver bhi en mein hain , jaise Pooja Devi , jammu mein chalathi hain. Kabhi bharat ki khoj karo aur hamare mehman bano ( I stay in chennai , right on the beach)

I've lived here for atleast 2 years. Or mene HRTC me safar kiya hai bahut. Kinnaur se niklne ke baad mujhe traveling phobia ho gya. Ab mujhe travel karne se dard lagta. Hai bas palatne hi wali thi ek bar. Us din ke baad me traveling karne me bahut dar lagta hai.

Brother, I went to Rekong Peo in 1985, bus driver of Himachal are supperb. At that time road was only 18 feet wide.

Mai bahut baar friends ke saath innova me gaya hu kinnaur, Sangla/ Baspa valley, Chitkul (last village before china), lahul spiti, Nubra valley, Hundar (White sand dunes aur Bacterian double-hump camel ke liye famous) tour kiya hu. Iyse Sadak jinme se kuch to "world's most treacherous roads" ke list me vi aata hai, safe hai aap wahi Himachal Ya Ladakh ke Drivers engage kar lo. Khud (non-pahadi travellers) chahe kitna bhi confidence ho, drive karna iyse sadko pe bewakoofi hai. Aur Dilli, UP, MP, South ke visitors/log iyse bus me chadhke fir saare raste vomiting karte dekha hu, kyonki washisng machine ki tarah hota hai iyse rasre me Bus ka safar....

Aur haa your query ki aage se koi gaadi ayegi to kya hoga. To in routes pe roadside passes hota hai. Jaha thodi se bhi road wide hoti hai usse pass ke tarah use kia jata hai. Isme sirf timing pe depend nai hai kyuki construction workers equipment bhi to late hai so there are crossings probably not till the extent of last destination but surely vehicle crossing does happen. And you've got it right they do stock the essential supplies.

Yes ✅ maine Leh (kaddhakh) to Manali 24 hours bus journey ki he har 8-10km par plunged vehicle ghaati me padi huvi dikhti rahti he, hum tourist bus me the & bus me Sare k Sare Israel🇮🇱 k tourist the we sabhi ghabra gaye the, unki chikhe nikal gaye thi.... Us saal (2005)raste bhar Barish, snow fall, kichad, glacier & landslides experience kiya but kisi tarah Manali zinde pahuch hi gaye.... Manali pahuch kar sabhi ne waha temple ⛩🕌 me pooja, prayer 🙏🙏🙏 kiya & mother nature ko thanks diya...

Himachal ya Uttarakhand me kisi village me bhi hotels ya guest-house na ho to tension nehi hai.......kyonki Himachal aur UK Govt. ne already kaafi saalo pahle hi "Home-Stay Scheme" launch kiya hua hai, jiske tahat local villagers ko easy business provide karta hai saath me tourism ko bhi promote karta hai. Kisi bhi gaon me home-stay ka board dikh jayega aur waha us family ne kuch extra rooms banake/ arrange karke aur saath me unke gharke cooked food (of course guest ke hisaab se hi) milta hai. Hotel se kaafi cheap hai plus untouched villages me visit karne ka mouka milta hai.

trust me when I say that if u drive on such type of route, u will actually find a 2 way road as a 4 lane road. I've driven my car on such type of route at some other road of himachal and to ur knowledge I've encountered with 2 buses on that road. My hands were literally sweat which were on steering and its extremely difficult to judge the other side of ur vehicle. Really Kudos to all the drivers who drive on such places on daily bases esp drivers of Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC). Here in HImachal, there is a saying that the drivers of HRTC know every inch of their bus tyres and that is why they r near to perfection in driving skills
