so sad, something when ever I see some parents saying, I am doing this for my children, I am doing that for my children. I just walk away and ask myself what about yourself. what are you doing for yourself as a person. I think parents of this days mostly forget about themself for their children that will grow up not appreciating them as much as they wanted. My advice to parents is do for yourself as much you will do for your children. never makes your children your retirement plan. I always say to myself, I didn't start or depend on my parents money or wealth, my children will never depend or start their life with my money or wealth. I have made my money and my children will also make their own money. the most important things parents should give to their children is good education, good home, good food, and good up bringing. never work hard to the point of killing yourself because of your children. you have your own life to live and the children have their own life to live. every generation is not thesame.
For me, what I got out of this documentary, allow people make the “bad decisions “ it’s okay if they do and allow them also realize the bad decisions themselves honestly we all know what to do in this life, quit rescuing people if she chose to continue her relationship with her boyfriend let her do it she face the consequences, 2. As parents it is important to allow your children choose their desired career path, if you’re not a doctor why force them to be one? Even if you’re sef, allow them choose what they enjoy doing not you forcing them or living vicariously through them it’s unfair , also this issue of being equals with citizens of a country as an immigrant we need to understand and accept that you can’t compete with people who are citizens of a state it is their birthright quit the competition and enjoy the privileges that the country offers to you as an immigrant.
Sometimes it isn't about so the children can take care of you when you are old, it's so they can have a way better life than you as a parent did,for them not to have to go through the hardship that the parents went through due to some limitations, the problem is knowing where to draw the line.
The housing market was not this bad even a few years ago. A 'blue colour' worker could 'afford' a mortgage and pay it off within a reasonable timeframe. The blue colour is slowly disappearing...if not already disappeared.
