+jscmi77 Hi there - well, I actually took a break from wearing for the summer for a few reasons but none of them being anything to do with Nick's product. I won't lie and say that wearing is without trouble; one has to be diligent but anyone can do it as soon as a routine is developed and that took about 3 weeks for me. Nick is terribly passionate about his work and talented in every aspect when it comes to making you look your best.

Hi there! The response from friends, customers and colleagues was amazing, all positive and some didn't even remember I had no hair on the top and just thought I styled it differently!
In my opinion, Nick has the best eye in the business. Great advice about age-appropriate hairline.
Too many older guys want the hair of their youth. (Too full across hairline, to dense. and too dark.) The realistic receding hairline makes Darrin's system look 100% believable.

Unfortunately for me I'm seeing thinning hair now that I've reached that age of 50 and was searching for the best, no the very best hair system (yeah I'm meticulous and try to be a perfectionist) and have to admit your system and styling has to be the very best I've seen so far! Pity you're found on the other side of the continent as I'm from central Mediterranean and it isn't easy to travel all that way, maybe you'll open a salon over my side in the future. ;) Well done! This is one of the most fantastic that I have seen...I am going to your website to think about your company....Can you tell us how long this typically would last with proper maintenance and if is is Hollywood Lace, French Lace, Swiss etc??
Depending on body chemistry and how carefully you maintain it it can stay on for a month and my system lasted approximately six months. Leave in conditioner is essential if you wants it to last, with sunscreen so the hair doesn't fade.

Now that one was SPOT ON !!!! What a great cut and system !!! Darrens face TOTALLY suited the cut !!! A few questions though .... Is the hair virgin European ? Did you contour the hairline as most seem to be just the oval configuration ? How does Darren feel about the system now compared to what the initial high he was feeling ? Can he comment on his own now ? Thanks !

A Sauter To answer your question, it has been nothing but positives since Nick so kindly gave me my hair back! There were some learning curves for detaching and reattaching but since I live 6 hours away from Nick's studio and unable to visit monthly he made sure I was armed with enough knowledge to be able to maintain the system myself. Nick created an uneven hairline which adds to the realism - not a generic straight line. Since the initial attachment I have detached completely only twice and the last time was about three weeks ago and have not needed a hairline touchup yet - I went overboard and put six coats of Ghostbond XL and it is still holding up!
Darrin Burke Does your scalp ever itch or become irritated from not seeing the light of day for weeks on end? And how do you wash your system--daily when showering? Thanks in advance for answering.
+David Smith Showering with the piece on is easier that I though - the secret is not letting it get too wet i.e.: standing under the shower head for too long. I found just a quick wet and very gentle finger comb through did the trick. A couple times the lace lifted but I just pressed it back into place once out of the shower and a short burst of heat from the hairdryer set it back onto my scalp.
+David Smith Oh, and as for the itchiness; there was virtually none. I found that as I progressed it became more and more sensually undetectable. The occasional itch was remedied by a gentle scratch; it was a non-issue for me.

corleone914 With the perimiter tape on sides and back I have had almost a month long bond - could have probably been longer but my schedule dictated I needed to do it then. The glued hairline I have been very lucky with as well as I just detached and re-attached after 19 straight days! Taking time to slowly build up thin coats of glue payed off for me, I use Ghostbond XL. It depends on one's lifestyle and body chemistry though so these times will be different for each person.

I am from Niagara Falls so I am not to far from the studio. I do have one more question to ask. How is the system as far as itching? Thanks again for the info!
Sorry for the delay - not back with New Roots for another month. Nick is as good as it gets I think and he really will make you look your best. As for the itching I would say it is non-existent; aside from the occasional itch mostly near the time I needed to detach and reattach it was all good.
No itching issue for me...honestly.

Tried similiar product in Quebec city .. my skin gets really oily fast so after two days It was so itchy I couldn't support it anymore .. made me sad cause I loved having hair ...
Patrick Laverdière There are many different types of attachments that address people's differing body chemistry. There is a glue called Oil Resistant White Glue (ORWG) and you need to try several types of glue before giving up
They tried glue on me, then some kind of tape and then they told me they had no more options so !

girls don't care they understand that feeling good about the way you look is important, the hair can stay on for up to a month depending on the attachment you choose.

hi what is the life of this system?
It really depends on how you treat it and your body chemistry but on average 5 months. It's important to keep it well nourished with leave in conditioner/sunscreen, a silk or satin pillowcase also reduces wear and tear.

Why did you keep picking up the brush and brushing his hair straight back? Everytime it started to look cool, you pick up the brush and damn you mess it up. Here is a hint, if you allow some hair to come over the forehead the guy will look so much younger!
Maybe because that is the way the client wanted it styled
