FOR THE BIG BRESTS!
You can make upper part of the top separately: cast on loops and crochet the same pattern as I made, but it should fit your chest circumference and then join with slip stitches to the bottom part. Or, you can crochet the upper part the same way BUT 3 loops in one, not 2, then the top will be a little wider in the chest area :)

I made a cropped version of this and I love it it’s so cute I made mine sage green I just made the bust a little shorter which was tbh a mistake but it doesn’t look bad I didn’t 18 rows instead of 21 but thank u for the tutorial I’m gonna be making a few diff colors now ❤️

Hello!! I want to make this top, but i am unsure of how much yarn it will require. Did you need more yarn than you showed in the beginning?? Or did you use more off-screen? she said she used less than one skein and her skein was 100 grams and 350 meters, if yours is similar to hers, most likely sport weight, then you should be good with a similar amount. the amount she showed in the beginning is most likely what she had left over, you can see whe whole skein at around 5 minutes, when she starts the bust portion of the top. when wanting to make a larger or smaller top, like she said, you would add or subtract rows from the ribbing under the bust, or the bottom portion of the shirt. she said she was making hers around a small or medium

i’m just wondering, i started doing the second/more difficult version for the first part and my rows look nothing like hers when she shows the finished bit (i just mean for this first part). how would you get the little V shape from the top of the stitch on the outside with this? maybe i just need to do more rows since i’ve only done a few, but i don’t see how it’ll change (im sorry if this made no sense lol)
EDIT: ok i just rewatched the bit where she’s explaining it about 5 times in 0.25x speed and now i get it lol, if anyone else had the same issue just do that and look really closely!!

i dont know where i messed it up while making , while making the lower part after like15 rows i could see the borders are slanting, so how do i make it right??, while i have to undo the part i messed it on or what?😭
You probably made a single crotchet into the chain one stich at the end of every row that's why

Unfortunately if you want to make clothes as a gift it usually can’t be a surprise because you have to make sure it fits! Maybe you could borrow a shirt from them to make sure the one you make is the same size. You’d also have to make sure the shirt you borrow and the one you want to make both have the same amount of stretch!

You can take cotton but choose with mixtures like acrylic or viscose then it will be more stretchy

i think it would be adorable, but you might have to make the bust part longer so that it can connect to your shoulders in order to make sleeves

no tbh , i get your vision but connecting sleeves to the chest part won't look comfortable or spontaneous enough due to the design of the upper part of the chest , i think a separated cardigan with the same color of the top will look much better and u can use the two separate pieces however u like

does it stretch well? most of my crochet works that dont have ties are really hard to wear 😭
the bottom part is pretty stretchy but the top is a little stiffer !! i'm making it rn and i'd recommend doing a few extra rows for the bottom part (the sc blo). it initially fit me fine but it's kinda tight now that i'm doing sc for the top part 😭

@@Prettyfacewithaslimwaist i typically wear an xs or s, i altered her pattern just a little! i did a few less rows for the bottom than she did. i don't think altering it will have any major effect on the top :)

You could use a bigger hook with thicker yarn :] this will increase the size of your stitches
When you say "should be equal to your chest circumference" does that mean when my chest circumference is 94 i should do 94 rows, or the bottom part should be 94 centimeters long? help me out i'm a beginner, this is my first crochet top
if you're chest circumference is 94cm, it should be equal to 94cm when stretched, not rows
