Cesc Fàbregas reveals why he left Arsenal for Barcelona | BBC Sounds
• Cesc Fàbregas reveals ... - Sport
He's said before that Pep is his hero and the reason why he gravitated to becoming a midfielder. Cesc has had a stunning career
Yeah and Pep wasted him
What did Pep do with him ?
And he left after and before their ucl wins😂
Forgot how absolutely CRACKED this guy was at Arsenal… we didn’t appreciate you enough at Barca cesc 😢
He's honest about it. Never came across as pretentious..
He has always been quality player during the era Barcelona world class player top 75
Top 75 is an accurate representation
No it's not, ur just too young to have seen past teams...cesc is around top 250
The whole world loved u at Arsenal
We will always love you Fabregas!! Yes Arsenal did give you everything, but you gave us sooo much also!! It was our great pleasure watching you grace the pitch in our magnificent jersey. #ThankYou
He loved Arsenal so much that he went to play for Chelsea 😂😂
Barcelona were getting rid of him, he wanted to return but Wenger was not interested
Wenger refused to re-sign him which in my opinion was a dumb move. Imagine Carzola, Fabregas and Ozil in our midfield
@@jop23ify so what? He should have gone to another club and refuse the Chelsea move
@@clement7313 where is the defense? 😂
@@se2018why would he do that? Arsenal rejected him so he has the right to go wherever, not like he went to Spurs. Besides he went to Chelsea and won trophies unlike he would at Arsenal.
We still love you Cesc and Alexander Hleb once a Gunner always Gunner
😂
If only Wenger brought him back.. Imagine Cesc and Ozil in the same midfield. Our own version of Xavi Iniesta. The two league titles he won at Chelsea would be with Arsenal.
With Shitbox strikers and a half arsed defenders. Sure. More FA cups.
@@YusufEbr with Mustafi and Mertesacker 😂😂
More delusional than other arsenal fans if you think those two were on xavi and inieastas level
Lmao "would be with arsenal" just casually deluded arsenal fan
Nope man..we didint have no costa, had a shit defence & a Cech who was good for 1 season
Cesc at Arsenal was something else
He should’ve never gone to Barça tbh, he was just one of many there, almost kinda like an "afterthought". I really think if he stayed at Arsenal people would look at him completely differently, and talk much more about him as one of the great midfielders from the last 30 years
I totally understood him going to Barca, given his history - but why go to Chelsea after?
I was thinking the same thing 🤔🤷
If I remember correctly, he offered himself to Arsenal but they didn't want him..
@@andreaspokeyea its true. But chelsea give him more money... so for me hes gold digger.
Arsenal had the first refusal right on him, but Wenger didn’t take him back since he already had Ozil
@@JohnBabalola1 ozil is a great talent, but fabregas will always go down as a greater Arsenal player. Sad we didn’t get him back.
No hard feelings Cesc......once a gooner ......
Robin van Persie?😂
Went to Barca and was never the same player
You have a good channel keep going
Thanks
And "Pep calling me" that sounds like tapping but it's all history now!
Was the best decision he could've made, the problem was what he did in 2015
When Wenger didn't resign Cesc [Total Arsenal Legend], and he ended up at Chelshit, that was the last straw for me with Arsene.
to be fair, this guy played his very best until the end for Arsenal, at a point got himself injured and still carried the team for 2 seasons.
Pep was playing a 3-4-3 box midfield back when it wasn’t heard of. Playing the 4 of them. Iniesta, Xavi, Busquets and Fabergas like he does now at Man City. Tactically Pep is the greatest manager of all time. But in terms of man management, coaching and development. That’s Fergie, Wenger, Jose and Klopp all ahead of him.
I know there’s Messi and Foden but overall those other 4 did it better. Give it 5 years and Eddie Howe will be in that bracket too
I like how people don't talk about Don Carlo Ancelotti when the man has won more than the names mentioned by you combined
Perhaps.
Ashley, Coal, Viera, Henry, RVP, Alexis all left for the wrong reasons. Killed me to see them leave. Glad they succeed later in their careers.
Wenger built his team around this guy after the invincible season . This guy distorted his project , I remember the last two season in arsenal , disrupt the whole club for two season .
So this is the thing, everything he says in this clip is understandable from a humanitarian perspective. However, it becomes very duplicitous when he expects Arsenal fans to welcome him back with open arms after he’s admitted that he turned his back on the club and manager who gave him everything. You can’t have it both ways Cesc. We understand why you left, so you need to understand why most of us don’t regard you as an Arsenal legend.
He spat his dummy out as soon as Arsenal gave him a platform and left - we couldn’t even get decent money for him
He just said Pep tapped him up
Will always be tainted by the way he left Arsenal.
Cesc would've been a God at Arsenal had he stayed. They would've put up statues for him. He went on to achieve greatness though. He's like a reverse Coutinho.
Arsenal fans understand Csec's desire to go back home and we will always have respect for him unlike Van Persie who downgraded to United for the sake of salary.
Arsenal fan - I ain't mad at him one bit, he's hightly rated but still under- rated imo. My favourite Arsenal player ever. Had it all. Big mistake not resigning him, his passion and grit only was what we were missing, not discounting all his other qualities. Don't hate me. Just my opinion
And he ended moving to Chelsea, how lovely!
I’d have took him back before he went to chelscum, I heard he was offered but we turned it down
People always tell the truth even when they lie
He is like a fun size Zachary Quinto
Note 'not winning years at arsenal', love isn't enough, as a club, player, love Will not ever enough, you want to win, and Arsenal is the team that can't afford it to you.
Anything Cesc says is invalid. Point is that we built the team around him and gave him everything and he left it for his dream. That’s cute follow your dream. But as for me, I threw his pages out of my arsenal story when he left.
Ppl deserve to fulfil their dreams, he fulfilled it no problem with that… barca is way bigger than arsenal
He was a utility player at Barca but was a Captain and a top class player at Arsenal. Didnt even win Champions League there.
One of the biggest mistakes ive seen.
Utility player? Oh please shut up....he was always a starter when he came....if u don't watch Barca match, just shut up.... don't talk nonsense...he won la Liga, Copa de Rey, club world cup, uefa super cup and 2 Spanish super cup all in 3 years. Shut ur trap...and he came to Chelsea and won the premier league....if he was at arsenal, he will be trophyless till now....fool
@@keno_makavelli He wasn't the reason those trophies were won. He didn't dictate anything there. You typed all of this for nothing.
@@PODTIER u are really stupid for saying that, I have nothing else to say to someone that is clearly stupid and have no idea about football
He would have won nothing at arsenal but some fa cups, he went on to do greater things arsenal is incapable of
So Pep literally tapped him up….👀 wasn’t that frowned upon, once upon a time? 🤣
Only to return with chelsea to win the epl. Dang man even as an arsenal fan, i find this funny and ingenuine😂
He came at barca 1-2 seazon earlier.
He loved Arsenal so much that he returned to Chelsea. 😅.. One thing i have seen in football. Most of the time a Forced move from the player never goes well. Cesc , Coutinho , Griezmann are some of the examples.
Nice
so Pep tapped him up
So pep tapped him up. Is that not illegal ?
It was really hard but it was the easiest decision in his heart. Go figure. He chose his home I hope he feels appreciated there. As an arsenal fan I resent him.
Best decision he ever did was to leave the serial bottler Arsenal F.C
Flat track bully. Went missing (along with the rest of his Arsenal team mates, at the time, when it really mattered), then went to Barca to be a bit part player, before finishing off his career as a Rent Boy... 😂 Yeah, he was mercurial and gifted, bossing games against fodder, but against the elite sides in major ties, he was found seriously wanting. My standout recollection of him is that nonsense at Old Trafford, when he chucked pizza over Ferguson (because, once again, his side had choked when United got physical, dragged them into the trenches, and ended that 'Invincibles' run). In fairness, the club still hasn't come back from that, tbh... 😂
You made the right decision bro... the trophy cabinet speaks of greatness as a sportsman.
And as you well know bottlers will undo you.
You just painted yourself as a cheap opportunistic guy man. Good luck.
Arsenal couldnt afford him back..n Arsene and the club had to stick to their ethos..growing pains of Emirate.only Henry came back...
Yet he came back to the prem to play for rivals 🤔
🐍🐍🐍
Why joined Chelsea?
And then he goes tô Chelsea...
Career died at barcelona
🐍. Arsenal wanted to delay 1 season.
Was Captain at Arsenal. Ruined himself playing second fiddle to Iniesta Xavi and warming the bench, mostly coming on as a substitute.
Why’d you join Chelsea though
🐍
And you go in chelsea after 😅
But u went to play for Chelsea😂
😢 🤍
I have a dream to live in Europe, but now am Living it as a Nightmare. Be careful of what you asking for 😔. All that Glitter is not gold
Best decision he made! So what’s with the background music! He went in to win everything whereas Arsenal declined!!
Nahh traitor
bs😂
Lierer
Overrated player
He will never be forgiven for moving to Chelsea. Real football fans never forgive snakes like Fabregas and Torres.
RVP also..
U guys don't know then. Fabregas offered himself to Arsenal when he decided to leave Barca but apparently Arsenal didn't want him then. Then Chelsea offered him a big contract and he took it. RVP said in an interview that he left Arsenal because Arsenal stopped valuing him. There was no talk of a new contract, Wenger also didn't talk with him about continuing on and the board wasn't concerned about him at all. He said that it's like you are married to a wife for many years and then your wife after a certain point stops loving you. You don't feel the affection anymore. And so RVP wasn't offered a new contract and he left.
How is Torres a snake? It’s not like he went to United or Everton. Football is a business first, if your team doesn’t want you, you play for the next best team, that’s how life works.
Snake oil
That's arsenal fault, he wanted to go back to arsenal but arsenal decided to decline that offer
😅😂😅😂 Shit cracked me up snake oil 🤣😂😅
Fabregas wasnt even that good at Arsenal. He was a symbol of Arsenal's failure after the legendary years of Bergkamp, Henry and Vieira. Those players are loved by Arsenal, not snake Fabregas.
You’re just angry he left your shit club that went downhill
You can call him a snake, true. But to call him he wasn’t even that good is absurd and pure hatred. He was a regular starter at 17, is number 2 of PL assists, amongst the best playmakers of his generation.
Fabregas was unreal at arsenal 💀
He wanted to come back but the offer wasdeclined
Wow you have 0 ball knowledge. He was absolutely brilliant at arsenal.
