I'm so grateful that I get to occasionally work with brands I actually like to create sponsored videos. Their direct support helps keep this channel afloat in the ever unstable world of CZcams ad revenue. These videos will always be disclosed, of course, and I appreciate everyone's kind support for these partnerships. Royalty Soaps also participates in commission or discount affiliations, like Amazon or RewardStyle, as these opportunities become available, like Amazon and RewardStyle and while the money we make with these links isn't much, every little bit counts and once again, we really appreciate your support! These products will always be marked and disclosed with a "✦". - Jak na to + styl
forgive me if this is something you already know, but the russian piping tip will give you more consistent results if you wipe the end of the tip clean after every 2 or 3 flowers. personally i think it's pretty having some open and some closed. hope you're having a beautiful day!
I really appreciate the tip!! Thank you 🥰
@@RoyaltySoaps you could say that was a tip tip. oh ho ho.
Although it already looks beautiful... I think the piped flowers might stand out more if the first two layers of frosting were all bright green in color. ☺️ 🌷 💐
@@eb5x_789 or a top tip tip 😂
Yeah, I struggled with these and soap frosting too. Wiping off the tip helps SO much to keep them open, that and having slightly more firm frosting. Too firm and it doesn't stick to what you're putting it on though. So, finicky to use.
DID YOU KNOW that the Netherlands sends tulip bulbs to Canada every year and there's a tulip festival in Ottawa, ON every year. It started as a thank you gift for sheltering the Dutch royal family during WWII.
Edit: my partner used to live in Ottawa and has gone to the tulip festival many times.
Literally watching this video and reading this comment from Ottawa 🌷🇨🇦
I’m from Ottawa too! Can confirm.
That's so cool!
I am from the Netherlands and did not know this, cool! 😎
Oh really?! Ottawa even has a building that is shaped like a tulip on its side as a nod to NL. Princess Margriet was born here
As someone who decorates cakes for a living, here are some things I've learned over the years trying to use Russian tips:
1. stiffness is a big factor, it's true. Sloppy frosting (whether soap or buttercream) is going to make sloppy flowers
2. Distance from the surface you're piping onto is also key. Too far away and the ends curl up rather than latch on, too close and the icing spreads out and goops onto itself. Unfortunately an uneven surface means it's harder to hit the goldilocks zone (perhaps don't put on that last row of dollops? Or pipe them onto some nonstick surface and use them as inbeds maybe?)
3. Once a flower comes out closed very likely the next one will, which means the one after that probably will too, and so on. Wiping off the tip whenever a bad flower comes out helps prevent chains of bad flowers.
Anyway, lovely soap! I hope you make many more lovely flowers in the future.
great tips! boost :)
When I saw the Russian Piping Tip, I got almost hilariously excited! XD I love those things, but it's super hard getting used to them! I love the colours used here and honestly, I adore the theme of the collection you're developing!!!
Awww thank you!
I knew literally nothing about soap until like 2 months ago when I started watching you and now I'm so excited to watch any of your new videos. This is absolutely fascinating stuff you do and I'm envious of the passion you have for your job.
Awwww thank you! I hope it inspires you to find something youre passionate about to do on the side!
Same here. I've attended a soap making class and made a few small melt and pour soaps. That got me curious and that's how I found Royalty Soaps. I love Katie's personality and how she explains everything she's doing. I got myself some mica, fragrance oils, silicone molds & melt and pour and already started creating. I'm a bit intimidated by the CP, but will try it eventually. For now I'm enjoying the Royalty Soaps products.
Makes me wanna go work for Katie...
That’s how it was for me too but I found her 3years ago(wow) this summer. I think I stumbled onto her video after Sofia and Tyler tried making soap cupcakes and failed. Royalty soap videos were recommended and after watching one I was completely hooked! I spent the rest of that summer binging years of soap making videos, but they brought me peace and calmness when my stress and anxiety was at its worse. It’s like therapy for me and I can’t wait to finally take the steps to try making my own.
@@AshCam-up2cf I agree. It's very calming to see her blend and pour soaps. And Katie is always so positive and inspiring.
Me: looks at time stamp...IT'S FROM TODAY!!!!
*Puts on repeat*
A tulip field is definitely a bucket list item! I enjoy your video's so much--you've inspired me!
They have beautiful tulip fields in the PNW too! In Skagit Valley in WA they grow some of the US’s most beautiful tulips.
We have had a really bad 24 hours in my house, so this is exactly what I needed for a little pick me up ❤️
I went completely beserk when you said: Tulips from the Netherlands. As a Dutchie: That was awesome!
Thank you, and if you even need a place to stay and a big tour when you are here, I'll be happy to host! :P
I literally live in the flower growing area in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 We get lots of tourists from the USA every year! Love your soaps 🧼
Ahhh it just be beautiful!
Katie Carson! Thank you so much for Royalty Soaps. I’ve been watching since 2018 and my first purchase was March 2019. I found you when I was stressed out of my mind in pharmacy school (I’m a licensed pharmacist now 🥳). I would watch your videos at night when I needed my mind to shut off and rest. Your videos calmed me and offered me stress relief. I will forever be thankful for you! I still religiously watch you and my fiancé knows when it’s a royalty soaps day! Your soaps are pretty great too. 🥰😊 Keep doing you, because you’re pretty darn awesome!
This soap reminds me of Texas tulips too! I’m an Oklahoma girl, so I’ve been a few times!
Awwww thank you so much!! I’m so grateful for you and your support!
“I’m gonna lay this puppy on its side… this puppy… it’s CLEARLY a loaf of soap…” I’m not sure why this tickled me so much but I couldn’t help but giggle! Love the themes coming back!
STOP, HOLD EVERYTHING! I'm the same, Katie. I couldn't get through the LotR books in high school. I just started reading the first in the trilogy a few days ago as part of a new bedtime routine, and I am hooked! It's coming sooo much easier to me as an adult, especially since I'm only reading in small chunks (~15-20 pages per day) and have come to terms with my ADHD and reading difficulties lol. Given that you already love the movies and knowing your other interests, I totally recommend giving it another go.
I couldn't get through all the descriptions of rock formations and the songs about tragic elven maidens.
I am in the UK and I love all of the tulip bouquets here! If you haven’t been before, you NEED to come and go to the flower market! It is fabulous
Ahhhh yes!!
I love this bar! I also feel like it would be gorgeous as a flat soap with the tulips side by side like an birdseye view of a tulip field! I envision it kinda like the succulent soap but a flower field.
I can already tell I’m gonna want all the bars from this series! But I have so many soaps already 🤪🧼
There's so many scary things in the world and then there's Katie and Royalty Soap to give that glimmer of safety and hope.
My mother read to my sister and me even when we were plenty old enough to read for ourselves. Little House and Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nihm were favorites... and a crazy about a mop that came to life! We loved it and so did Mother.
I'm so glad you're doing a themed collection again, this series especially is so cosy and wholesome ^^
Katie, I am absolutely loving these latest two videos from you. :) Your joy and effervescence are evident. I love that you branched out and tried something new but also brought yourself back to center with the collections. This is a winning collection theme for sure! Tulips are my absolute favorite spring flower, but I've never been to a tulip farm specifically. Might have to put that on my bucket list for this year. Spring comes a little later for us here in the north, so it will definitely be at least April/May before we start seeing those blooms, but it will come soon!
This video makes me nostalgic for the Brussels Sprouts soap from last year. The Russian piping tip created such realistic sprouts. Will that soap be recreated this year?
Beautiful!! I have never been to a tulip farm, but my dad had 2 big flower gardens in our front yard full of tulips🌷. He loved plants, fruit trees, and flowers. He always had them inside and outside of every home we lived in. He passed when I was 18 and everytime I see tulips I can't help but to think of him.
I love that you arent afraid to talk about things you arent good at. Not a lot of people are willing to admit when they can't do things. I love watching y our videos because you're so open and wholesome about everything!
I am from Holland, MI so I'm sure you can tell by the name that I am very familiar with tulips! We actually host a Tulip Festival every year called Tulip Time and it is amazing and so much fun! Growing up I was even one of the kids to dress up in costumes inspired by traditional dutch clothing and dance in wooden shoes! Nothing we did was truly authentic it was all just inspired buy the dutch history :) Tulips are my favorite flower because of this :)
I would love to go someday, that sounds amazing!
@@RoyaltySoaps It really is amazing! People from all over the world come to see! It was quite strange growing up in a tourist town though!
Im sorry but Tulip Time is the cutest festival name EVER
My mom took us when we were kids! I got a pair of wooden shoes for my American Girl doll.
What a nice surprise ^^ I live in the Netherlands an work in the highest flower auction of the world, and just a few hours ago I was hauling around hundred of buckets of tulips🌷 🌷 🌷
You sure caught the right point in time ^^
That frosting colour is LIFE... SO gorgeous 😍
(If you are curious about anything specific of want more pictures, just @ me )
This is my favourite soap youve done in a long time! Its just stunning!!! It captures the vibe so well for the collection but its also PERFECT for springtime!
I'm so glad that you brought back themed collections! I love them so much.♥️
this might just be my favourite soap i’ve ever seen. i actually love the piped flowers & how every one is in a different stage of bloom. my dad’s favourite flowers were tulips and they always remind me of him. i really want it, why must i live in the UK with pricey postage?!
My Son is going to be SOOOO excited. He is autistic and the ONLY soap we can get him to use is your Pemberley diamond soap and sometimes we can’t get some, so I bought the fragrance oil to put into some body wash for him. He’ll be so excited to get one of these bars, I hope I can nab one for him!
I have never been to a tulip farm. I'm happy you got to have that experience! You're doing great Katie
Aww thank you!
I've been to the tulip festival in eastern Washington state. You have to drive by all the tulip fields to get there (coming from the west) and it's so beautiful! 🥰
The colors look so bright in the bowl but perfect in the soap.
Oregon has a few tulip farms. They are so fun to visit.
I don't know how I got from video games to soap, but here I am. You're a truly fantastic artist, I'm not a soap guy but I'm very tempted to purchase some soap bars from you at some point! Very excited to see the other soaps you add to this lineup.
I had never bought a non-mass-produced bar of soap in my life before discovering Royalty Soaps and I had no idea such amazing art could be created with soap. I, too, am unsure how I started watching a channel like this, but I'm so glad I did!
I can answer the question of the day today! I’ve been to a beautiful tulip farm up in WA, just a year or two ago. It was truly breathtaking; there’s a whole town with several tulip farms in it so they have a big to-do every year. Loooove it. Love tulips, too, they’re a fave. And I love this soap!! I can’t wait to get one 💖💖💖
I live in the Netherland and I never fully understood why our tulip fields are so special but hearing you talk it makes sense. Also a tip for everyone who is going to visit us for the flowers you should google Bollenveldroute and it will give you special car trips that will lead you to the prettiest fields with all the bulb flowers not only tulips. But do be warned it gets crazy busy on those roads at when the flowers are in full bloom so be warned but definitely go and see!
I’ve never been to a tulip farm but it sounds wonderful! Love this soap. I’m so ready for SPRING 💐
YASSSS
What an absolutely gorgeous spring soap. You nailed your inspiration perfectly.
Thank you!!
I had the same experience my first time, after letting my soap sit longer, a swift movement, and cleaning the tip after each flower I achieved a more consistent clean open flower. Hope this helps you.
I love watching you do the frosted soaps, i just opened my first frosted soap that I bought from you ages ago, and it's so BIG, but the smell is amazing! I love your channel, thanks Katie!
Still watching the video, but I can tell just from the colors, this soap is gonna be pretty!😍
Edit: Pretty is an understatement, it’s gorgeous. I love the flowers!
😍😍😍
Years ago we visited Keukenhof Gardens. The first time I went with my grandparents and it was so warm and full of flowers. The next time a few years later, I took my best friend and it was so cold and the majority of the flowers had to be kept in greenhouses. It's somewhere I want to revisit one day as it's so pretty. 🌷
I've already commented once but please please please remake this one. It's so beautiful and I bet it smells so good and I love the flowers on top. It's perfect!
I’ve never been to a tulip farm, but there’s a whole Tulip Festival in Orange City, IA (which is only a few hours away from me in Minnesota) and I’ve been to that! Orange City was settled by the Dutch coming over to America.
If you ever want a fun weekend trip, definitely look it up - it’s the third weekend in May, I believe. The whole thing is dedicated to tulips and Dutch culture and it’s super fun.
If you ever find yourself further southeast, there's also a tulip festival in Pella, IA, usually the weekend of mothers day. 🌷
Watching you has gave me more confidence on my soap making it’s ok that not all soap designs don’t come out as plan making soap is giving me back my life I love making different recipes and designs and I finally came up with a recipe I really love and now I know what recipe changes I have to do with different designs I must say I’m getting so good at it now but my thing is I want to do so many it’s so hard to find just right designs I like them all it’s costing so much money lol your designs are so beautiful
I don’t know if you’re talking about Texas Tulips, but I love that tulip farm! It’s always a great place to go at the beginning of spring. We’re planning on going next week during our spring break. Love this soap, Katie! So colorful, fun, and vibrant!
Holy cow, Katie, these are gorgeous!!
Tulips are my favorite flowers 🌹 I'm really happy you did this kind of soap. 💐🤗
I love that you are sending the soap for this collection with something called Pemberely. Because that is where Mr. Darcy lives in pride and prejudice, which would fit in very well with your theme I think.
I'm from the Netherlands and it was super exciting to see our country mentioned in your video! Absolutely love the soap!
This is so pretty. I was surprised you didn’t go with white & green for the piping to look like grass. However, the pink piping is gorgeous.
Hi Katie,
Being Dutch, I've seen tulip fields my entire life. And it still amazes how much colors of tulips there are, and so much varieties in flower leaves.
I've got tulips in my garden, and now in the spring season, I always have at least 2 bouquets of tulips in my room. All bouquets are sold by 10 tulips in one bouquet.
I've inherited an antique blue and white vase from my grandmother, and that's the perfect vase to put my tulips in.
Being Dutch, I really don't think about it how special these fields are for foreigners, they are just here.
I think it's the same that I would love to see the aurora borealis one day. But for people who live for example in northern Norway it's very common.
Please come over to see all our flower fields and visit "De Keukenhof" while you are here. I would love to show you our beautiful country. Only minus is that the tulips and other flowers bloom from mid March until the end of April. So there could be cold and rainy days of you have bad luck.
But you and your family are welcome any time!
Sending lots of love and virtual flowers from the Netherlands 🤗 🇳🇱 💐🌷⚘️
A little bit of green botanical would look nice next to the soap tulips. Adding the glitter with the green botanicals could make it pop more and instead of the glitter being all over sprinkle it on each side of the tulips. Than again it's just what I thought as you laid the glitter down. Beautiful design Katie as always. Keep up the awesome work. Can't wait to see what you do next time. Giddy for the next video. 🤩
The colours, the swirls, the tulips…just fabulous! 😍
First time buyer, so fun to see you make it and be able to buy....keep creating so glad I got this one !!!🌷🌷🌷🌷
I have to say, your bars, even cut in half, last FOREVER. There are 3 people in my house using the soap bars in the bathroom, and it's been 3 months and this soap is still going strong. My sister said the same thing! Totally worth the price, and they make the bathroom smell amazing! This soap is going to be so pretty!
I grew up in Holland, MI and there is a May Tulip Time festival every year with thousands of tulips planted around town. Very pretty 🌷
Just beautiful as usual Katie!!!!!
YES! We're headed to Seattle's Tulip Festival in April...so excited!! The pictures of the acres and acres of tulips are equally amazing!!
Tulips are my favorite flower and I've always wanted to visit the spring tulips in the Netherlands! I can't wait to buy this one, so gorgeous!
Love the colors on that!
Those came out so pretty! 😍
I once went to a flower auction with school. I think I was around 10-12 years old and we were allowed to bid too. I learned a lot about how flowers distribution goes and how auctions work in that field that day. And it was just fun.
I guess that would be a perk of living in The Netherlands. We also went to the Van Gogh Museum somewhere in those same years. My school cared about culture and art (to the point where we got to an outdoor concert at some point.
While in the service, I visited Holland, while there I was lucky enough to witness a tulip festival in Amsterdam! Never forget it!!!!!
The thing I’m doing for myself today is having an afternoon snack of almonds and water instead of Hostess cupcakes and Root Beer. There’s nothing wrong with some sweets, but that combo had become my daily afternoon snack for the past 4 or so months. Today is my first step in making healthier choices for my body.
So proud of you for doing something beneficial for you!! That sounds delicious and nutritious. I’m right there with you trying to drink more water and fuel my body well!
so true! and if that doesn’t quite hit your sweet tooth, there are these almonds which are rolled in some cocoa powder which makes them awesome and still definitely better for you than a cupcake hehe
My parents read us all of the Lord of the Rings books during road trips when I was little. My dad even did different voices and accents for all the characters. So much commitment!
This is so pretty. Love it
I think it's cool having some of the tulips closed! especially around the beginning of spring; it's like some still haven't opened.
This series reminds me of like back in like 2010 around there, when the grass seemed greener and the flowers seemed brighter! Yk and I love it
Those colors are gorgeous
That flower market is there every week, its really fun to go to!! The colours in this soap are gorgeous!! I actually quite like some of them being not fully open!!
I’ve never been to a tulip farm but I lived in Portland, OR for much of my life and the rose garden is beautiful!
I love youuu, your videos relax me when i with anxiety 💕
Girl, I love you to pieces!
Fun fact: I'm the oldest of 9 siblings, so I TOTALLY get you, girl! All of us came from the same marriage, and I can't imagine our family without any of them.
I love watching you make soap! I’ve read LOTR many many times! Love the books and the movies.
Soooooo PRETTY! All your videos are awesome and I LOVE watching them! :))
We have a tulip festival in my state in Australia. It was started by a family who moved here from Holland on WW2, they had a tulip farm then started a yearly festival. It's the most beautiful sight to see.
I had white tulips for my wedding bouquet ( fake because they were out of season and stood out well against my navy wedding dress)
OMG THE COLORS ARE BEYOND BEAUTIFUL
I love the new butcher block table! Looks fantastic katie!
Thank you so much!!
This one is SO creative! 💐💛
I had a college internship in The Netherlands and all of those photos you see of fields of tulips? Completely real and even more gorgeous in person. I flew there in late spring, if I remember correctly (it was several years ago for me) and it was just heavenly!
I think it's actually pretty beautiful that some flowers are open and others are closed. It's just like real tulips who bloom all in their own time.
I've never been to a tulip farm but my grandma has some in our garden so there were always some very close by.
The colours were such a beautiful choice 😍
Katie, I love the tulip theme! I really want to see you do a soap inspired by a rainy day. Please! This theme would be perfect for that!
Beautiful work as always Katie! 🥰
To answer the question of the day, yes, I have gone to a tulip garden. I was very lucky to have the opportunity to visit the Keukenhof Tulip Gardens in Amsterdam. Words cannot describe how absolutely breathtaking it was.
Really cute bar, thanks so much for sharing.
Lovely to see this Dutch inspired soap 🌷 As a Dutchie I have driven often past the bulb fields but never visited one. Maybe I should do a sightseeing in my own country 🤭
Pemberley is SUCH a great fragrance; one of my faves from your diamond series as well; love it!
And that pink/purple color turned out so nice!! v
Just Love the soap...looks like a party!!! Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
History fact, something you may not know: Ottawa Ontario Canada, the capital is gifted thousands of tulip bulbs every single year in commemoration of Canada harboring Princess Beatrice of the Netherlands for her safety during WWII. As a result Ottawa celebrates this every year in the Springtime as the "Tulip Festival" where all these tulips were planted all over the city and bloom everywhere!!! They are so beautiful and vibrant, we look so forward to seeing them especially following our very harsh Winters!! You can see some really fabulous photos on the internet if you search for it. 🌷 🌷 🌷🌷🌷
I love your soap!! 💞 I need to finally make mine now too!! 😍
Honestly I like the variety of the tulip flowers because it looks like there's some open buds and closed buds X'D
I purchased this soap and it is one of my favorites. It is beautiful and the smell is amazing!
I haven't been to a tulip farm, but we had tulips growing in my backyard as a kid.
I live in Sweden and it's really common to plant tulips during spring 🌷
Thank you, Katie darling for another great video. Sending you love and greetings from Pretoria, South Africa
love this so much!!
The inside of the soaps certainly give off an abstract tulip vibe. It is very, very cool.
March 5th is my uncle's celebration of life and the flower his daughter chose for the event is tulips 🥺 this kind of feels like a sign to finally spoil myself a bit with one of your soaps. thank you for all you do, Katie 💕
Greetings from a loyal follower from the Netherlands 💐 love the soap! 💜
I have been to the Netherlands, on a horticulture study abroad trip but sadly, we missed the tulip season by a couple weeks. We toured the Aalsmeer flower auction, greenhouses and many public gardens! It is big business there. Beautiful too.
Girl you would be surprised how common ur type of aging for siblings is. My mom is the same age one of her nieces, and my uncle is younger then quite a few of his nieces and nephews. So don't worry about what others think. I Love ur family. And I love watching you guys every chance I get. I'm just sorry I haven't bought from you yet.
I have that same tip with a Russian tip set I purchased. That thing is my nemesis!!! Well done as always!
I live near Skagit Valley, Washington and our tulips might rival the Netherlands ;) Come up for a visit--the tulip festival will be officially starting March 31st, and the flowers are in full glorious bloom through April. Just...make sure you pack your rain jacket and mud boots. This is near Seattle afterall.
Katie you are inspiring and can make me smile while at work 😋😋. Thank you so much for that. I have actually been to Amsterdam, I'm a military brat so that was one of the places we went.
Maybe if you think the leaves were too much, the next time you do a soap like this, you could do a subtle green drizzle? I also really love the pink-orange you picked for the flowers. I've never been to a tulip farm.
