Don't let anyone tell you Tiamat isn't strong! She has some amazing capability as a devoted farmer, challenge unit or piece in a hybrid comp. Will you guys be rolling for Tiamat? She is an amazing unit overall but she’s in the camp of douman where I uniquely dislike them as villains I can’t forgive even though I love Aoi Yuuki. So I’ll skip on her. Im happy for everyone that wanted her though.

I’m glad Tiamat is crazy strong. Mostly since it makes sense for her to be. And it should mean less heat on Melusine for existing going forward.

Sadly she doesn't cover for Melusine's weakness of Saber enemies since she is also weak against them
Class resistance here doesn't really matter since people run Melusine into Sabers as well with the buster oberon setup. Tiamat can do the same against knights and have advantage over more classes as well.
@icefiredragon94 Yeah but there is a higher likelihood you will fail to hit damage benchmarks if you are hitting for half damage so it would have been cool if she was a class that at least hit neutral against sabers to cover for when Melusine struggles. Either way she is a good unit just wish she was a different class.
This is why I'm prepping my Gilgamesh and Tesla for when the buster system comes to NA... to cover that gap that Melusine would struggle with.

She is insane, and people who tell otherwise clearly don't understand how the game works, she reminds of when Kiara summer was released, people till this day don't know how to play her, but if you know, you know she is an insane looper for CQ that is pretty much invincible

When I saw her kit I quickly checked Twitter to see if you had something up on her because she is absolutely ridiculous. So glad you put out a video about her today.
Overall a very powerful servant. She is similar to Crane and Summer BB in a sense that she becomes MUCH stronger (then most servants) the more busted units you already have.
She is great for farming but who isn't this days? If you already have lvl100 np2+ Melusine you don't really need her for farming purposes.
Well, there's certainly a lot of talk regarding Tiamat, both positive and negative. In my opinion, if any unit deserves to be cracked it's Tiamat. She is after all THE primordial goddess. I am also happy for those folks who have waited for her since Year 1. Personally, I love her design, and I'm glad her Ascension 3 and FA are both different from Arcade's version and not just a copy+paste job. I don't really like Arcade's versions, especially not compared to this.
Even cynic that I am these days, I don't mind that she's another Buster AoE, because that's the only combination that makes sense. In the same vein, I didn't mind Nito Alter because Nito's basically synonymous with AoE Arts. This us the lesson I hope Lasagna learms, which Khad has brought upa few times recently: shiny new characters are important, but everyone fell in love with the classics first. Leaving behind the classics is just plain silly. Messing with their typing is also frustrating, at least to me; one reason everyone rejoiced with Summer Okitan is the fact that she was finally given the Quick NP everyone always wanted her to have.
The bottom line is that people want to see their favourite characters shine, and introducing strong units isn't really the issue: the problem is that the devs have neglected so many favourites, allowing countless older units to lag farther and farther behind, whilst pushing out new units that either come off as uninspired or truly absurd. If they kept these units up to date with strengthening and animation updates I think the community would be more accepting of new additions to the game. I, for example, won't forgive the existence of Ibuki Summer until the devs give Raikou a 50% battery and an animation update. I'm sure there's a lot of folks out there who feel the same way about one of their favourites. The bottom line is that such power needs to be justified, and Tiamat has all the justification in the book, between her lore and her role in the story, and the gravitas she has built up with the community over time. Plus, I like that she is Alter Ego.
As it is, I am hoping Tiamat presages the beginning of the end of the FGO Dark Times. I am actually fairly optimistic because they absolutely had to stick the landing with her, and I think they did. Imagine a world where she was a dud with nothing interesting to recommend her whatsoever...well, I think that would be worse.
Shes great and definitely takes the spot of highest damage.
Although I would still perfer Melusine since shes single target and aoe for more flexibility.
other than that comparing their damage is pointless since they easily clear anything even when counterclass.
Having the option to swap to an AoE mid run for 1/x/x nodes is a godsend
It is also worth noting that Melusine has invulpierce which is a great utility for CQ.

For those who may think Tiamat in lore wise shouldn't be an ally? Think again... In lore wise it was actually "us" who attack her not the other way around. I will make it short...
Dr Roman make a mistake thinking Tiamat was using Gorgon as her vassal to attack the world while actually it's the opposite... Tiamat was just sleeping but King Solomon linked Gorgon DIRECTLY with Tiamat from power and even sense of pain...
Yes, you heard it right... Tiamat just felt a "death blow" when you just killed Gorgon. It gives her a huge shock thinking "Her children is trying to kill her again" Even though it won't even harm her... It's just a pain...
So, the whole attack was just Asian parent style emotional damage punishment... Your mom is out here just to give you one slap that you will never forget lol
Adding Tiamat MAY be a Beast Class but she is still classified as "guardian of the world" Why? Because Earth is her dying coups! You standing on her dead fresh! Even if she's a beast she STILL sided with Earth. However, because of her origin and power she's beyond broken... On top of being Beast Class she's literally a walking Earth... Adding she have infinite clone as such why EVERY god have to united to just kill her... Yes, I said "every god" except the last generation Gilgamesh because he wasn't born yet.
Like in normal case Tiamat wouldn't even harm a fly. She's a Neet locking in her own private dimension watching how every life are born on her dead body. That's all she was doing.
However if something will likely harm her child she will join in to fight back. Not with her real body cause her "death" left a huge restriction that her real body can't be manifesting. This is what Larva Tiamat... Basically her avatar to walk on Earth.
Soooo... run double Tiamat equipped with their bond ce's with a Merlin for your front line then when that tanky regenerating buster engine eventually dies your back line comes in mostly or fully charged?
with her bond ce in DKS with Atlas Uniform she can charge AoE 35% np on turn 2.
That 20% np dmg on a 2 turn cooldown so easily adds up to 80%. It's super easy to use twice and Oberon can just double it to 80%, or you can force it to be used 4 times with atlas mc
Thankfully got her in a few multis at the sacrifice of my tickets. I still have alotta quartz left, and I do like Tiamat quite a bit, but idk if trying to go for NP2 would be worth it. I wanna save up for whenever the next Scathach banner drops; tried getting her a number of times but to no avail, so I don't really know what the call is here.

I luck out and got Tiamama at NP2, she will definitely outdamage my NP1 Meluko 😅. Now I just need Lasanga to give us content for me to use her.

Can't you do Ms. Crane, double Koyanskaya and Oberon (plug suit) with her for even more damage?
You can even rotate Crane twice, if she started with kscope for even more damage

@@RageofVaddix you start with her in the front, use her first np without using battery, she will rotate to 6th place and move your roster to the left 1 position, so second koyaya will come out. Then you plagsuit crane back to front, use her battery, she will fly back to 6th and move your roster to the left a second time. So, oberon will come out. And you have 2 star bombs on koyayas, and a crane's own skill, which will work because koyaya herself have a costume. To properly use Crane you just have to think about placements of your units in the team, and that's it.

Is Kiara still relevant with this?
Think of it this way, if you have Oberon, all of your units that has at least 10% charge is beyond relevant. They are all more capable then ever before. You pretty much could wreck almost all of the content of the game except maybe 90++. Higher Np lvl of the unit may be needed
I’d say Kiara needs heavy investment in NP copies to farm well, she still has good CQ potential tho. Tiamat is strong right out the door at np1 for farming
They also operate with different optimal colour Supports. If anything, it is Okita Alter that's in danger...but she's been in danger from the moment they released her at the tail end of the old Buster Meta.
I only have merlin as support so i cant farm yet. But shes already doing so much dmg
For NA players, do you skip Morgan entirely and save for Tiamat?
I think skipping would be a bad move. Tiamat is 2 full years out. There's no reason for NA players to sit on their hands for that long. People wanting Tiamat can still start saving for her sometime next year and have more than enough time to both get her and probably get a few more NP levels. If people are tempted by Morgan then they definitely should get her.

Morgan makes the 'immortal comp' and can contribute to a lot of sustain in a way that is not presently known to be possible with Tiamat.

For f2p maybe np1 is enough if you gonna whale for her np2+

Kuku and Melusine are sttll much more versitile than her, cuz they only had 1 class out of 13 playable classes that enemy are using, while she has 3 classes shes weak against. This analisys is clearly biased.

I think It goes both ways, she also has more class advantage than them hence more opportunities for superior damage. There are advantages...
Bias aside, what we can all agree on is alot of damage can make class disadvantage a myth. And tiamat has that in spades. Try her out, you will see.
Melusine deals half damage against two classes and receives double from four. Tiamat deals 1.5 damage against three, double against two, and half against four with a higher neutral damage ceiling with the relevant optimal setups. In a straight looping scenario, Melusine only outfperforms Tiamat against Lancers, Archers, and exclusively in offense, Pretenders.

For the TVO+Atlas comp you start off using her 50% charge and it's on Turn 2 that you abuse CDR to triple up her S3 + Vitch 50% + Oberon's 20% charge.
So, if I had to choose between Tiamat and Kukulkan, which one should I save for? F2p, no i cant aim for both, realistically 😢

If you're F2P, Kuku is the better option since she can be DPS and support at the same time.
The only thing Tiamat is better than Kuku is damage. Kuku has 2 skills for survivability, can generate stars for herself, and has crit niche. Tiamat has none of these.
Kukulkan is better because she hits a bit lower than Junao while being type neutral while Tiamommy has knight class type disadvantage

Did people really forget what Super Orion taught us. That class doesn't matter if your kit can juice you up enough to ignore any disadvantages it has, which Taimamma can do.
okay Khad, time to admit your gripe with Mélusine WAS about another Lancer trouncing on your waifu. Now that Tiamat out-damages everyone in the game, and you have no clear grievances towards her as you did Mélusine, the least you could do is admit your clear bias against the latter servant.
Not really accurate still? Melusine is still insane in that she can also be a ST nuker (who is Arts, no less), making her genuinely a 2-in-1 unit and top-class in both respects. Not to mention that Lartoria has never been god-tier among AoE Lancers anyway
I just hope that Tiamat existing means he won't complain about Melusine's existence at every single opportunity. Makes absolutely great content. But his bias against Melusine was still pretty exhausting. No surprise that he doesn't have any problem with Tiamat despite the issues being the same. But hopefully he'll let it go after this.

Honestly I'm really glad. Got kinda sick of the Melusine hype cause people thought she was garbage on her own and then attributed her later success to just her when it was Oberon and Koyaskaya that propelled her. I prefer Tiamat as a character as well so i can feel a little better saving quartz since i don't feel obligated to roll for Melusine anymore as a general buster looper.
Melusine needs Oberon that's true. But she doesn't need Koyan light to loop.
For someone who doesn't have Koyan light, Melusine would still be a better option.
