And we have a first ride review of the Yezdi Roadster! Do you like the bike? Think something should have been different? Let us know below. Give the video a Like if you want us to compare it with the Meteor 350.
I think Yezdi should have offered navigation to roadster.. at least as an option.. that would make roadster even more hand in hand comparison to meteor …
i have ridden both meteor & roaster. The ride feel you get on roadster is outstanding. Absolutely loved the growl of this beast !.. For an average Indian height, this is a perfect machine in the 350cc segment.
Got this bike like a month back and have completed 1300kms, I can honestly say It's totally worth the money. The feeling you get on the highway with this machine is so surreal. I can say cruising at 90kmph at 6th gear is the sweet spot(Haven't pushed the machine to it's full potential yet, since it's in break-in period). Agreed there are heating issues when driven in city but I personally doesn't get bothered by that since this machine offers awesome road presence. If you are planning to get this one, go for it, if your majority usage is gonna be for city commute and occasional touring.
Few questions 1. Mileage in city 3. How does it feel over potholes and bad roads 3. Vibrations 4. How is it for touring 300 km a day,is the ride quality and riding position suitable?
@@Fredthebearrr 1. City you can expect 25-30 2. I felt the Suspension a bit hard, but it's well balanced 3. Rear view mirrors get a bit foggy due to vib after 5k rpm. Otherwise, it's manageable. 4. It's a really good option for daily long trips. Overall, i would recommend this one over any other 350s if you want raw power and performance.

The new yezdi roadster it a very likable motorcycle. It looks good, design has a proper classic roadster feel. The Performance is decent. Among all the 3 Yezdi's the roadster is good package for every day usage, fun to Ride around corners and long distance highway touring.. Overall a good motorcycle. Its gone be intresting to see how the roadster competes against the RE Meteor 350. Can't wait to see it. Please do a intresting comparison story on this two machines.
I did a test drive of the Roadster couple of weeks ago, and I was not impressed. After watching Shumi's review, I thought it may be worth it to do a repeat test ride. Could be possible that the earlier test bike may not have been a good sample. So today I did the second test ride in another showroom. Here are my perspectives. 1st ride - After doing the test ride of Meteor, Honda CB350 and thereafter the Roadster, not sure whether Roadster is even comparable to these motorcycles. Roadster can be probably compared with jawa 42 and not with the other two simply based on quality levels. Based on design, yes Yezdi and Jawa look good. But if you look into quality, performance (other than raw power), refinement and fit and finish, it falls far behind. The gears of Roadster are clunky and not at all smooth. It seems like a half finished product which still needed lot of refinement but was rushed to the market prematurely. I went to the showroom with a lot of hopes from Yezdi coz I wanted something different apart from Honda cb 350 and meteor. But beyond design, it did not meet expectations at all. 2nd ride - I went for the second ride with an open mind, especially considering that there are several positive reviews of the bike. More so, because Shumi had reasonably kind words for it. I did find the second unit to be comparatively better than the first one. The gears were in fact bit better, and less clunky. Power, was of course, really good. Road handling was good. However, there were other areas where the Roadster did not meet the mark. Fit and finish (switchgear, painting, welding finish, cable management etc) is clearly not the biggest strength of the Roadster. The instrument cluster is small and not very easy to understand, esp the gear position display is almost tiny. The bike stalled several times in third gear when the speed was lower. The clutch was very hard and it was a pain in the palm and the wrist. Overall impression - this bike will be liked by those who are looking for raw power and good design. However, if the expectations include great quality, engine refinement, proper fit and finish and ease of use (clutch), this bike may not meet expectations. There are better options in CB350 and Meteor. And most important caveat - given yezdi / Jawa's unproven track record of product reliability, spares availability, and service coverage, the equation could be altogether different.
