- Thinking about moving to Franklin, TN? You may be curious about which neighborhood you might want to be in. Because there is such an influx of buyers relocating to the Middle Tennessee area, I have decided to take you on a neighborhood tour of one of Franklin's most popular neighborhoods, Westhaven.
Located just a few short minutes west of downtown Franklin, Westhaven is a master-planned community complete with it's own shops, restaurants, resident's club, golf course, doctor's offices, a Kroger grocery store and more.

How tornado-proof is the home construction? Where are the storm shelters?
Hi Caitlin! How far away from downtown Franklin is this neighborhood? Are you able to drive the gulf cart to downtown Franklin? Thanks!
It’s about 10-12 minutes from downtown Franklin by regular car. The golf carts are used just in the neighborhood only because the main road to franklin is pretty busy and those cars go fast. But west haven is quite a large neighborhood, so having those golf carts help to get around. :)
Hi! It's less than a 10 min drive from Westhaven to downtown Franklin. You aren't able to drive your golf cart there, but it's only about 3.5 miles away. Hope this helps!

Are there any smaller 2 bd available there to lease? Would love to spend a year to get to know the community before we buy there.
There certainly can be! There's nothing for a two bedroom available for rent at the moment, but that doesn't mean that something won't come available! :)
Can I get a home/condo there for $200,000?
It's very unlikely. You'll probably be looking at about $400,000 for a home or condo that isn't dumpy.
Are there any additional club/amenity fees in addition to the HOA fee?
Hi Ashley! There's additional fees associated with the golf club. They have a variety of members including golf and social. However, you don't need a membership to use the resident's club or pools.
