    If ur wondering why there are so expensive vehicles just for volunteer work.. it’s there personal vehicles they use

    • @aspie1996
      @aspie1996 Před 2 lety +10

      Like in rural areas some Firefighters would use there personal vehicles to respond to calls.

    • @TimmyT1996
      @TimmyT1996 Před rokem +2

      “Just for volunteer work” “expensive vehicles” the problem isn’t the personal vehicles. They are personal, not owned by the department. Hence not paid for, by the department. Additionally, in rural America; volunteer work is the ONLY work. There is no full time service provider. There are only neighbors taking care of neighbors. Not all of us have the luxury of living in a city that’s given the privilege of over lapping providers/agencies. If the shit ever actually hits the fan again in NYC like on 9/11, people will be thankful again for all these extra providers.

      @@aspie1996 In New York State, which has jurisdiction over New York City, firefighters may only use blue courtesy lights without sirens. They can't break road rules or make people pull over. Chiefs can use reds with sirens in their POVs. POVs for EMS are green without sirens.

    Is there any duplication of services in cases like this? Suppose an FDNY ambulance, and a
    Hatzolah ambulance, and an NYU ambulance, are all responding to the same call. Do these
    agencies talk to each other?

    • @Fresh_GuyNYC
      @Fresh_GuyNYC Před rokem +2

      Yes they do. They also respond to big fire if someone is in need of immediate medical care

    • @sznlikesvideogames2676
      @sznlikesvideogames2676 Před 9 měsíci +1

      All of them are dispatched out via fdny control division. They are toned out by how close they are and by different response times it would take for maybe a mount senai, NYU, FDNY EMS, and hatzalah ambulance to get to the call. Agencies will work together a lot to create a fast response time and on big fires they function as the ems role.

      @@sznlikesvideogames2676 hatzalah is not dispatched by fdny bruv. They would only respond on FDNY jobs if somebody called 911 and them at the same time. Or if there is a disaster all city volunteer ems agencies can be dispatched

  • @rvonley3314
    @rvonley3314 Před 6 lety +19

    Nice to see volunteers (are they really?) helping out everybody. But the more differences/divisions the more chaotic scenes. With such a big spread of emergency vehicles and 'emergency' rides you might get a state of habituation in which people scarcely react properly (wailing with nobody moving) These cars look like they could also be rapid response anti terror vehicles or high ranking nypd officers. Im curious how they are dispatched... And do they get the same training together with other services.
    video and cars are awesome btw! :)

      They are dispatched by Hatzolah dispatch. And what do you mean do they get the same training? They are certified EMT's, or paramedics by the state of NY

    • @PrincessSixThirteen
      @PrincessSixThirteen Před 3 lety +4

      They are really volunteers. They do not get paid. They supply their own gas and vehicles. The organization does supply the medical equipment.

    • @clarkcant
      @clarkcant Před rokem +3

      They don't get cars and they don't get dispatched. Those are their personal vehicles, and when a call goes out members who are working/living nearby will respond on a voluntary basis.
      They have EMT certification as all other EMS, except some of them are also paramedics & doctors.

    Just curious what the take would be in Manhattan if a large Christian group wanted to have their own police, medical centers, ambulances, and undercover vehicles equipped with lights and sirens..........Why is it only the jews who have this and why does NY government allow them to operate like this and no one else?

    • @77R_
      @77R_ Před měsícem

      hatzolah seems to be everywhere, they're spread across nyc and parts of nj too. So I think it's because of the scale of their operation. and also i think if a christian group wanted to do this, it would be fine as ny state probably allows it but being called upon would be a matter of how well-established they are
