When I transferred into public school I was SHOCKED at how long people spent doing nothing all day 😭
i go to a state school, but remembering back to lockdown everything was so much quicker. working at my own pace and adjusting to my own needs, i shaved off at least 2 or 3 hours everyday without my performance dropping at all

@@AshTaylorsVerison girl, I'm going to be straight with you. In K2 this boy, Justin Moody, left our classroom to be homeschooled bc public school is incapable of helping him reach his full potential. That was that. Didn't think of him again, UNTIL.... MY HS GRADUATION, where he was valedictorian and credited with with a perfect SAT Score 😮. He was delivering the speech, whilst the whole student body was scratching their heads, like, WTH, who is this guy?? I think I'm the only one who even recognized him!😅

I go to dance with this one girl who’s homeschooled and she is literally the least toxic, nicest person Ik my age. She’s insanely smart, bc of the “8hours doing 3 hours of work” thing, which is very true btw, and she’s 14 taking like 4 collage level courses. Also, she has a bunch of hobbies that she wouldn’t have time for if she wasn’t homeschooled. I’m jealous 😂
You should talk to your parents about doing online classes.
People always forget that properly done homeschooling yields those results. The current school system doesn’t, no matter how well it’s executed.

I’ve been homeschooled and am about to graduate high school. I’ve taken 17 AP classes overall, and am rank #2 in my grade level! My friend stole #1 from me. 🙄 But I’m going to Harvard to study medicine!! 💉💊

I was homeschooled from pre-school all the way till 9th grade, and then my 10th grade year, which is this year, I switched to a local private school. While homeschooling was amazing, and it help me build a very deep bond with my mom, the community and friends that I’ve developed at my school is just as amazing. They’re both amazing in unique ways. People asked my grade and I’d be like “uh, I’m 12” (something along those lines) until I hit high school. 😂

I was homeschooled and always knew what grade I was in. We had curriculum with grade levels on each of the books. That being said, I graduated after 10th grade because how we did it was to have everyone homeschooled and then take the GED at 16. I was working a full-time job plus occasional overtime at age 16 because I could. I could work whatever shift I wanted to as well.

As a Homeschool alumni it's so relatable. I forget that other students have to ask to go to the bathroom or eat...That does sound a bit strange when you say it out loud.
Now, I actually did have snow days. My mom would give me the first great big snow of the year off to sled and drink cocoa. She didn't think this was something kids should miss out on.

These alone are my favorite reasons for homeschooling! We have co-op on Monday mornings & it’s sooo hectic making sure we leave on time & have everything we need. So glad it’s only once a week lol.
Literally I would be going to the library or going home from the library around the same times as elementary kids (sometimes), and I would get stuck for a while waiting for the bus or to cross. 😂

We’re homeschooled; of course, we all go to a doctor’s appointment (or chiropractor), go to homeschool skating events on many Thursdays, go grocery shopping, drive to the co-op for advanced classes (science labs or extra-curricular), watch soccer games, have three kids take piano lessons back-to-back in one day, go on field trips which often included our dad, take IEW & speech classes at someone’s house, volunteer at church on many Wednesdays, do dual enrollment, etc…you get the gist! 😂

Real, I've been homeschooled all my life, it's awesome
I'm a teacher. I taught at a small countryside school once and I had to teach 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders at the same time (approx. 5 kids in each group). Each age group has different educational needs and hence different curricula, so you need to teach something else to each of them, otherwise the older kids will be bored because it's too easy, or the younger ones won't understand a thing. So I tried to coordinate them, like "5th grade do ex. 1, 6th grade do silent reading of the text on page 30, 7th grade write a short text on this topic, 8th grade I'm going to teach you Present Perfect" and in 10 mins I had to switch and teach grammar or whatever to a different class. While I was teaching grammar to 8th grade, the 5th graders would be like "Teacher, I don't get this exercise, what do we have to do?" and the 7th graders would be like "Teacher, how do you say this word in English?". It was CHAOS. If you want to actually teach an academic subject (not just play or beat around the bush), you can't successfully teach kids of different ages at the same time.

Im a homeschooler and all of our family vacations were field trips! My kids generally finidhed a school dat in 2-2½ hours. One daughter became a professional artist and musician becsuse she had many hours each day to practice her hobbies. My other daugher is teaches marshal arts and has a 4 the degree blackbelt because of time to pursue her hobbies. She also has a side business where she crochets afghan to order.
All becstse they were homeschooled and had the time to develop their skills!

Relatable for sure! I was homeschooled all the way, until last year's graduation!
I describe all of these when people ask whether I liked being homeschooled K-12, and it always makes people stop and think lol. _Especially_ being done with school work whenever we get it done -- instead of having to sit at your desk for 8 hours, no matter HOW fast you get the actual work done. THAT gets people.
