Thanks buddy for this video
Miss these dude. Hope you're hunting whitetail above
Love the increased posting frequency and looking forward to the rest of the build!
Thanks, time is easier to come by when there's no OT available!
I can imagine! Excellent work and thanks for the content.
Are you a diesel mechanic by trade? You work on these expensive trucks with zero fear ... and do a great job! Awesome video again Tom
I'm not in the automotive/engine industry in any way. I am a mechanical maintenance tech in an industrial setting
Turba Tom
Well you do awesome work brother
Thanks
Man them stainless retainers are a pain
great videos... i'm using for my working on my own truck. Keep posting...
Thanks, good luck with you build
There’s a wiring harness wrapped around my turbo and that’s the only thing keeping me from doing what you did
Found another cummins channel ill be addicted to lol
I started on my truck on Friday didn't finish untel Sunday had about ten hours into it and it definitely sucked doing the second gen swap on my 08 6.7....... Had a hard time with the downpipe lining up with my exhaust system and turbo flang. Definitely not the easiest job.
How do you get the v band clamp off the back side of the turbo?? I’ve loosened it and it won’t come off it’s all I have left to pull the turbo out
Back tires on the '12 looking a little bit thin Tom. Been doing some burnouts? Another great vid
Can't ever seem to keep rear tires on anything, can't figure out why lol
How did you remove the compressor cover?
How do you know so much about these newer Trucks?! How much power does your grey truck have ?
It's like someone knowing sports stats and stuff, its what I'm into
Exhaust pulls are a fuckn pain in the ass especially when your not lifted. Working off of your back sucks.
Hi thanks for your video!
How do you disconnect the oil drain? I'm almost the that point?
2 bolts underneath or pull it out of the engine block
@@TurbaTom got it was super easy, I figured a way to separate manifold and turbo and pull em out not too heavy..
@@beyuwallace how did you get the bolt closest to the block off on the turbo flange
Iv been meaning to ask, what 3rd brake light is that on your grey truck? Is it smoked or painted? It looks good!
Turba Tom did you mail your factory's in to them
Yes
How did you get those last 2 manifold bolts? Those things are pissing me off.
Took the fender liner out and used a chisel
Did you just plug all the coolant lines? I’m installing an BMP S366 VGT delete on my 12. It comes with coolant plugs. Just wondering what you did, thanks.
Yes, a second gen swap should come with coolant plugs
I suggest that you remove background music it's too loud.
Next time someone else is doing mine
Question?, I have a 2012 dodge cummins with a steed speed mani with the stock VGT 351 turbo. I want to upgrade my VGT 351 with a 67x89 wheel and 67x70 turbine. What are the advantages and disadvantages. As I loved my stock exhaust break.
Not sure, I have no experience moding the stock turbo
