Richard Nixon would be saddened and appalled at the shallowness of these poseurs who clearly do not know what they are talking about. Nixon was a realist who understood how balance of power among great powers operates and would have recognized the present Ukraine conflict as a balance of power problem. He would have recognized that Putin and Russia are reacting to the US trying to establish a sphere of influence on Russia’s border in Ukraine and are trying to remove a major security threat. The mere presence of a large NATO equipped and trained army on Russia’s borders and the Aegis missiles in Poland and Romania aimed at Russia establish a clear, unambiguous existential threat that must be neutralized. This is not a war of imperial conquest as these lightweights would have you believe.
Nixon would be appalled and outraged that current US policy is pushing Russia and China together in a de facto anti-US alliance, especially in light of the wedge that he drove between those two countries in 1972. That wedge was the critical maneuver that ended the Cold War.
Moreover, Nixon himself warned of the inevitability of such a conflict, especially with China. According to biographer Richard Reeves, Nixon thought that the US and China have irreconcilable conflicts of interests and that these differences would play out in a formal confrontation between the two countries, either as an economic Cold War or a hot shooting war. Nixon was wary of such a conflict because China’s power and influence would inevitably rise with time such that it would inexorably become stronger than the US and be able to prevail in such a conflict. Reeves points this out during a lecture at the JFK library in 2006: [ czcams.com/video/8p-lUUhfPdc/video.html. 1:16:51]
The absurdity of the statements made by this panel is unbecoming to the memory and legacy of Richard Nixon.

Some people never lear, Kissinger was wrong, Nixon was wrong, 1972 was a mistake. Reagan or Biden (trully the greatest american leaders when it comes to foreign policy) would never make such mistake as Nixon. So Ukraine must be supported and Russia must cease to exist. Thats the only realistic balance.

Weather you like it or not, China is too big and too important a country and has too many smart and industrious people for it to be ignored. As Charles DeGaulle told Nixon in the 1960s, “it is better that you engage with them (China) now when they need you than later when you need them.” All Nixon and Kissinger did was to acknowledge what was already obvious to the rest of the world: The Communists defeated the Kuomintang in the Chinese civil war and constituted the legitimate government of China. No amount of denial by Ronald Reagan , Barry Goldwater or William F. Buckley was ever going to change that immutable fact.
Ukraine has zero strategic importance for US security, but it forms the southern and western borders of Russia and is therefore critical to Russia’s security. The United States has no business whatsoever being in Ukraine, but has been using it as a platform to attack and subvert Russia since 2013 when Victoria Neuland, in her official capacity as Undersecretary of State, fomented the Maidan Coup, ousted the legitimate President of Ukraine and installed a US puppet in his place. The US has been using Ukraine as a platform to attack Russia economically, politically, and militarily ever since.
Biden is clearly senile and mentally incapable of matching wits with Xi, Putin, Modi, Erdogan or any other world leader. The plethora of videos on the internet showing him saying stupid and inappropriate things is a national embarrassment. Biden, not Putin, started the Ukraine war. The United States would never tolerate China or Russia equipping and training a proxy army in Mexico or Canada; why should Putin tolerate a US Proxy army in Ukraine? He can’t and he won’t.
The war in Ukraine has nothing whatsoever to do with “freedom”, “democracy”, “rule of law”, “human rights” or any other platitude or shibboleth that you may choose. The US proxy war in Ukraine is being waged for the sole purpose of overthrowing Putin’s regime and installing a Yeltsin-like US stooge in his place so that the US can dominate Russia’s national patrimony like it did in the 1990s. That ain’t gonna happen. The Russian people and elites will not allow it.
Biden’s foolish, reckless and unnecessary war in Ukraine is a serious major threat to world peace and stability. It has already upended the economies of most of Europe. Both he and his neoconservative puppet masters (Neuland, McFaul, Carpenter, Sullivan, Blinkin, etc. ) have to be stopped before their conflagration in Ukraine turns into World War 3.
