Excellent song.... fine song writing, great sound, everything in place. These guys have no fear of doing surprising things and they tie them well into the structure.
And just to annoy the Behemoth-copy-cat junkies - this is way better than Behemoth :)
How I love their style in this and Erebos album. The perfect mix between death and black metal. I miss this in their latest albums ☹️

This band has great arranging...lyrical arrangements!! The vocalist knows how to ride a beat/track!! Alot of clarity in their music for this genre...more clarity than the mighty Behemoth. Maybe it's the polish sausage!! No homo!

I love it when I pop on youtube and immediately am welcomed by a new band that I actually enjoy.
At first (many years ago) I thought they were just some Behemoth worshipers... but man, was I wrong... Behemoth (especially today) could learn a thing or two from them.

Robert Stan I don't think they're very similar at all, except for the possibilty that polish bands have a common influence in music. A lot of them that play death metal seem to be influenced a bit by Vader and even more by Slayer although the polish sound is it's own, no other scene bears similarity to the polish death metal sound. That is a lot because the production and talent of the musicians is good. Polish bands seem to put a lot more effort into making proper killer riffs than a lot of other bands from elsewhere.

Can we all agree that Behemont is pretty much overrated band that went from CVLT to SHIT in matter of a few years. Also that "We shall suck mighty dick from our Fallen Angel for eternity" lyrics of Behemont are getting old and boring. It was fun, mysterious and edgy like 20 years ago. Now it's pathetic and dumb as well.

@Saito906 I wouldnt necessarily say that they "came out" before Behemoth, rather, they "formed" before Behemoth. Both bands released their first demos in 1992. Hate formed in 1990 and Behemoth in 1991.

They are at the Forefront of the scene with bands like Cannibal Corpse. That doesn't make them weak though, Torture was probably the best CC album in awhile and Evagellion was pretty awesome too. Maybe these bands deserve the praise sometimes, IDK why you would begrudge them success in a music that is so hard to make a living by unless your one of those trve kvlt people.
Euh don;t forget Trauma. A band I adore as well!

First off Nergal doesn't sound horrible live. Secondly the riffs are all similar in all forms off death metal or else they wouldn't be considered death metal, it's the similarties in style and arangement and notes hit that exemplifies any genres. And you are right about them not being a clone, they came out around the same time.

Comparisons can be made but are always a subjective matter. I like Hate, Vader and Behemoth. Behemoth shifted their style completely from pure black metal to blackend death and they still rock in what they do. I'm not from Poland but I agree they produce GREAT Death Metal bands. By the way you guys forgot the legendary Damnation and Luciferion.
