Who is this ref pundit? He always support the refs decisions, even if its clear mistakes
He just sounds will atimes
Are you new to the prem league? He was one of the "Top" referees in the Premier league
He is a clown. Jota got a 2nd yellow card and sent off for exactly the same thing against Spurs earlier on in the season.
Exactly! He’s useless
You can't give up penalty for every time a man get touched the box that's going to spoil the game
Foul in the box ?? It's a penalty. It doesn't have to be a "super-foul" .
@@garyh1572 It wasn't a foul, football is not a non-contact sport & he didn't touch him enough to knock him over.
@@thelimey351 He would have given a foul outside the box, therefore it's a foul in the box. Penalty.
@@garyh1572 Pretty sure he wouldn't have given a foil outside the box anyway so your point is moot.
You must be an arsenal fan why you're saying such nonsense
Trossard was not even trying to press him
It's a pen no doubt blatant he trys to stay on his feet arsenal player would have rolled all over the pitch😅
@user-xt2ge1qy7c lol 😆...trossard was not even running...he knew too, that's why he tried to stay on his feet
@@olaiyahsemiu6381 it's a pen you've never played the game it's all over blue moon on the move 🤣🤣🤣🤣
He wasn’t pressing him but clumsily caught his heel therefore tripping him up. It’s a foul no matter how many times you watch it. The Same thing happened to Sterling in Euro 2020 Semi-Final against Denmark. Minimal contact which has like the ex pros say has forced Kulusevski trailing legs to hit his other leg and trip him up.
Never a penalty
Why do we have theres shows if a referee gets a penalty for that that means every time a man get touches in the box is going to be a penalty
Yes, not a penalty from a Tottenham fan
Of course it was?
Good lad
Respect
Fellow spurs fan here, I agree not a penalty.....
@@totspur6376 how is that a penalty to Kulusevki when he runs into Trossard and trips himself up? Then Maddison dives seconds later and lucky not to get booked.
Can't see the actual contact
VAR should at least have the referee take a look. The kick on Maddison as well.
Am pretty sure these pundits hate Arsenal too much, Newcastle against Arsenal Gabriel was pushed from the back, all you guys in the studio said it wasn't enough contact to stop the referee from giving a goal. Hatred on Arsenal from the so called pundits is too much 🙏
@thelifeofthechamp4402 As a neutral though, Arsenal players are instructed to tactical foul, dive and surround the referee to try and influence him to give them penalties etc. the push you talk about, the defender played for it then threw himself down.. Saka did the same in the champions league. If you want to be liked, play by the rules instead of being cheats all the time. Gabriel is a horrible player and gets away with it week in week out.
Classic sky with their spurs presenters. There’s been about 20 bigger penalty shouts this year Not given and yet this is the one they’re tryna highlight.
Yeah, this is ridiculous.
What Spurs presenters?
PGMOL and VAR should be independent . If so many calls are subjective, like handball, the VAR is worthless, but PGMOL still has a case to answer for so many big game inconsistencies this season. Suspend from Euros officiating would be a good start ? Keith Hacketts interview on Talk Sport radio, was something worth listening to, about the current officials system and what is missing in the communications.
It's not a penalty. Those guys are spurs fans. Never seen a penalty given for such minimal contact. They are reviewing this incident, when there are more blatant penalties that haven't been given in the past that were completely ignored. Just shut up already.
See it all the time
Yup, and they're stating that Trossard clipped him as if it's a fact. They're Sky Sports, but don't have video proof of this contact? They're inventing a narrative to fit their agenda. All of their "analysis" is assuming contact that's not been proven to have happened.
Dembele against Di Maria is a foul but this isnt
He takes 5 steps then literally throws himself to the floor, and gets up without any complaint, how biased do you need to be?
You don't listen, do you
It's a pen you plunker city's title anyway 😂😂😂😂😂
Hes trying to stay on his feet, he doesn't throw himself to the floor. He's off balance.
@@TheMufc123 yes it's a pen no doubt cheating refs agasten spurs there r refs cheating in the game an the one's in var r at it to
THE RICE penalty are a new joke where the player is about to clear a ball and an opposing player comes in on the blind side and initiates the contact by jumping into their path seen few like this Game is being ruined .
If Trossard clips him as they claim, where's the image. What you think might have happened, or more likely what you hope happened doesn't matter. Show me the contact or STFU. I've scoured the internet looking for this so-called trip, and there's no image of it.
I can't believe we are having this discussion. Football has become such a shambolic sport. Are we actually encouraging the players to fall down like mad with minimal contact? Spurs must be happy they get the Rice penalty. Arsenal wasn't given one for the exact same foul against Jesus in the Aston Villa game
- Kulusevski actually tried to stay on his feet for a while
- Due to referees not even noticing contact, players have to flop/dive, it's not their fault.
- The Rice penalty was 100% a penalty, stop being stupid
- The Jesus one was also 100% a penalty, again, the referees are incompetent
"This is not your family"......i love Gallagher ❤
If it was in villa box was that going to be a penalty for villa?
Not a penalty for 3 reasons, he didn't have the ball, Trossard wasn't challenging him and you can equally argue Kulusevski kicked Trossards knee when theres no challenge.
If this had happened to Arsenal we wouldn't even have this debate. Just saying
victim mentality
Because it would have been given
The game had 3 penalty calls for Spurs. Mr Oliver didn’t consider neither one except when VAR force to check the monitor when the kick occurred right in his face. He is Mr Fixer
Why not you say the same when Jesus is tripped by villa player at villa park biased media.
They all defended the referee when Gabriel has shoved in the back by Joelinton. 'Gabriel needs to be stronger' they said. Yet Kulusevski hits the deck due to incidental contact and its a penalty. The anti Arsenal agenda is strong
This terrible decision was a huge mistake and changed the course of the game instead of Spurs getting a penalty and tying the game at 1-1Arsenal went down and scored making it 2-0. What is the point of having VAR when stuff like this continues to happen?
Funny enough that Kulusevski said after the game he doesn’t remember if it was a penalty!😅
He would have little idea being in front and not seeing how it happened
His own body was involved. LOL! How could he have not sensed the clip? Unless his nerves didn't respond 🤔
@@ryannthegeek_1 perhaps not under pressure and being focussed on the ball as he himself said…
@@georgecav ok
This bald headed ex referee said that even Declan Rice's challenge on Ben Davies wasn't a penalty. I, now strongly believe that each referee in the Premier League has his/her own rule book. 😏
He’s talking about on the diving Maddison who couldn’t go down fast enough after losing the ball
Amazing how many times we hear yes there was contact but not enough for a penalty for me. Now, contact=penalty? Where were all these people when Saka was being roasted for the Bayern “non-penalty”?
the consistency should be uphold….even Micky’s goal…they gave it during west ham game…and now they didn’t…. the inconsistency😒🙄🤷🏻♀️
Absolutely no point having a ref pundit
A light nick like that shouldn’t warrant a penalty. It’s also about balance. Some players have better balance and some have poor balance. Given a nick like that on a player with strong balance wouldn’t have caused him to lose his balance. Penalty only if it was a heavier foul
If that is a penalty then there will be 20 penalties in a game.not every contact is a penalty. People here are saying thing so confidently like it is a universal truth.
Referee was an absolute disgrace.
Video footage would be helpful so we can see what you are talking about!
And this is why the refs keep making mistakes, they talk about minimal contact, but at full pace, minimal contact is enough to throw you off balance.
Plus all of the times they have given penalties from minimal contact, shows how inconsistent they are. They should go play for a season!
Without video this is pointless
Minimal contact. 😂😂😂 how long is a string?😂😂😂
He clearly could have stayed up and then deliberately chose to go down. We have to stop this encouragement of choosing to go down in order to draw a penalty. These pundits have it wrong.
Dalot tripped madueke very similar to this incident and chelsea was given a pen
If any contact in the penalty box was a penalty. There'd be 10 penalties a match, for both sides. There was a 'penalty' for Arsenal against Chelsea, similar to this, but much more obvious and that wasn't given, barely looked at. But no mention of it because Arsenal won 5-0.
Either way, I'm sure we can all agree. The officiating is not very consistent.
Same for Dembele on Dimari
That's the job of the referees and VAR, so if they can't do their job they better should be sacked
Not a penalty bro. Soft.
This needs a minimum 1 hour show
There's an infringement, which denied him the chance of a shot. Surely it's a pen.
I think also they weren't sure if his leg went into Trossard or Trossard kicked him. Trossard actually tried pulling out of the action. It was a difficult decision tbh
He was foul. Contact is contact. Minimum contact is still contact and it's subject to opinion
Is it clear and obvious? This is the question when asking for Var intervention.
If this incident took place in the midfield, would it be a fowl, I don't think the refree could have blown a fowl, we should stop looking for penalty where it doesn't exist.
It was a penalty
at the end of the day he got clipped, tried to stay on his feet couldn't and went down
Why is it they never ask the obvious question. Would the ref have given a foul had in been anywhere else on the field of play. Yes it would and has been many times.
I agree. It’s a pen, any argument about him clipping his own heel is ridiculous. 😅 Dermot always biased towards PGMOL.. but where’s the video for the offside? I want to see that debate! 😂
It's called getting "cropped"
No because it wasn’t a foul.
Yes. Because it was.
@@totspur6376 hahaha keep telling yourself that
@gdogg4002 This Spurs fan is deluded and doesn't know football
@@gdogg4002 go and watch the foul in slowmotion
@@paulmuh36 go and watch the minimal contact not enough to take him down, he took a few steps and then threw himself on the floor in slow motion. Sure
He went down after playing the ball however off balance he was and made a pass to his teammate. Had it not played the ball and gone down instead, it would have perhaps been a controversial penalty. That's how I see it. In bad days for Arsenal, this incident would have been a penalty
not every contact in the box is a foul/penalty
Isnt it for a penalty its got to be clear and obvious intention, they answered their own question trossard didnt mean it this minimal contact that happened and thats what it was minimal
It was obvious Michael Oliver was favoring Arsenal..... the fact that he quickly ruled out the call for a penalty after Rice fouled Davies yet he was close says a lot. A direct kick in the groin area before a referee, how did he not see that. If VAR was needed, then it would have been to overturn his decision to give Tottenham a penalty.
Blind side of player, natural follow through, Davies had already kicked the ball out of his control……..this sets up a whole new precedent of throwing yourself into a challenge to initiate contact in the box.
@@wheatish As a referee, you see a player initiating a kick in the box and the opponent wins the ball and goes down...if you are on the blind side of the player and neutral, call for penalty, after all, their is VAR to rectify if it is a wrong call.
Keep saying favoring, that's why you in the comments box, and not on field
@@ryannthegeek_1 I guess you are on the field
@@user-eh1ix1kd7u i am not talking about Oliver, I was talking of Davies being blind side of Rice who is attempting a clearance . A penalty is given for denying a goal scoring opportunity or rough play with intent. Neither parameters can be invoked.
Spurs have had the least amount of pens this season, primarily because players do not go down on minimal contact.
Other teams have profited massively from cheap penalties so good to see Spurs working on this too. Bad for football yes but hey, you do what others are doing to win.
Dalot touched Madueke with his finger but it was given as penalty
no matter how much contact there is, its still contact which means he still been fouled in the box its a pen
So we aren't going to talk about how Nottingham Forest was robbed in the ManCity game?? Right. What's new
When is Dermot's contract up coz he clearly hates this gig
If you thought “this was 100% going to be a penalty”, need to watch billiards or darts and leave football altogether
bro is yapping
It wasn't a penalty but onside for Vicky.
Football is a contact sport
If they had given a penalty how strong would the argument against it be?
Penalty.
This was NOT a pen but I think the one that was given wasn’t stonewall like Gary Neville said In the game but a penalty
Kudos to you for being reasonable and coming up with a fair assessment.
Clear and obvious
As a arsenal fan that was 100 percent a penalty as Gary said he booted him 😭
Oliver is a horrible referee. He rarely makes big decisions onfield and seems to leave them to the VAR. Then in most cases you hear well if it was given it would not be overturned but not clear and obvious. Weak referee.
Of course it was?
Wait, the Rice kick to the groin was not a penalty because he got the ball first? I didn't even catch that as a Gooner watching the replays on TV.
The game is over, move on, u guys make me laugh, were Chelsea denied a penalty against City, ?????
tossard didn't intend to make contact, so it's not a foul? is that the standard? or is this an arsenal thing.
VAR is just further highlighting referees lack of understanding of the game. Even on replays they can’t see what’s right or wrong clearly
Trossard runs in a straight like. Kulu puts his foot across Trossard and clips Trossard. Why does no one see this? Its no different to the Saka one against Bayern, although the Saka one was a bit more obvious
Kulu was brought down. Simples...
Arsenal fan, but thats a penalty in my opinion.
We got very lucky there!
You give that as a penalty, scrap the game in its entirety. You are saying that Trossard didn’t mean to trip him so what did he mean to do? They were both running and Kulusevski made the contact where Trossard placed his foot; you cannot punish a player for running. Since it was not a clear and obvious error why are you going to give a penalty for???
Your analyses is a whole load of rubbish.
But Dembele was punished for the same thing and you’re happy
"kulusevski made the contact where Trossard placed his foot"
How is it on the player in front of another player to be aware of the player's space behind him?
If I'm behind you, and we're both running, only I have the knowledge of where to place my body to not foul you.
@@garyc2630 carry your L in peace; it wasn’t even brought up by the PGMOL and for that matter Kulu himself.
@@user-ft7zr1zq4q this isn't twitter, we can't see each other, the baseless attacks or gripes are so pointless.
Jesus incident wasn't brought forward either, that was still a penalty.
Furthermore, Kulu said after the game 'if I went down there was a reason'.
What was your point?
Clear and obvious
Not this game. Hope he wins a penalty against Manchester City though.
Yes, and that was definitely a penalty to Chelsea. They were robbed
Zero point in asking dermot gallagher. He doesn't have the balls to call it out. Just agrees with refs. How much you getting paid?
No, simple, they give a penalty for that they give a penalty for everything, then to make matters worse Kulesevski don’t even go down - brudda tries to stay on his feet & they play advantage, conversation done
This warnock guy has an agenda with Arseanl
It's crazy people are debating this. Yes, Trossard clipped him by accident as he was running, however he made not attempt to foul him or even tried to make a challenge. It was just as much as a foul on trossard as it was on kulu. Plus minimal contact, plus kulu takes like 5 steps afterwards, tries to stay up and then falls and doesn't complain. Stop it.
Does it now mean that every touch or contact must be a penalty in football? if that's the case we will be having penalties every time a corner kick or free kick is whipped into the box. What a nasty punditry this is turning out cos Arsenal is involved. Rewind back to UCL quarter Final against Bayern, You must award Saka a penalty cos there was a bigger contact with Manuel Nauer. That was the must minimal contact anyone can think of, even Kulu managed to make a successful pass to Maddison before going down. Maddison lost the ball not kulu
What about when a player gets across another player looking to boot the ball and gets themselves kicked in the balls by accident? Just as long as you get touched, no matter how you do it, then it's a foul and penalty or would that just get out of hand real quick?
Yeah, that's because the defending player initiates contact with the attacking player, so that's a foul and in the box a penalty. If an attacking player runs into a defending player and trips himself up over the defender who doesn't put in any form of tackle, then it is not a foul and, therefore, not a penalty.
Very good player who unfortunately goes down to easy which makes you question the decision. The big problem is the contradiction of warnock and others is they say that contact doesn’t mean a foul then say there was contact so it must be a foul. How do you choose
Wether it's minimal contact or not its a penalty hahahahaha what??? Okay then by that logic any time a defender puts his hand on an attacker in the box its a penalty because it's contact😂😂😂 its a contact sport these people get paid to talk about football and they dont have a clue hahah
Ai we're probably never going to get past this ever....
Whether it was or not doesn't matter now cause it's now in the museum 😂😂😂😂
We would have so penaltys if we where to go by the standard they suggest.
Listening to a scouser who still can't get over klippity and the reds have messed it up, and Listening to her, oh won't go there
Football ⚽️ is a non contact sport now.
I thought his leg hit trosaad? That’s not a penalty. What is this thing with spurs and looking for penalties
It’s because we’ve only had 2 all season, it seems like people really don’t want to give us penalties
@@GrantESCwonder why
Can you please explain how a player in front of another player is aware of the player behind him?
Trossard got in his running path, he got too close, and it's a foul.
Otherwise, defenders can do what Trossard did, all the time, and get away with it. Which they can't.
We have seen much more contact on one that have never been giving! they must be spurs fans
They have to make a vid about this? Running out of ideas😅😂
Kuluvesk should go down without touching ball
THIS REFS ARE COSTING PUNTERS EVEN THE WOLVER GAME AGAINST BOURNEMOUTH
Why are they trying to force it it's not a pen
Next time
The look on Dermott trying to keep a straight face. He knows full well its a penalty, refereeing union working to protect their own. VAR needs to be taken away from the PGMOL straight away, absolutely unfit for the job.
99.9% of premier leauge penalties are not penalties...this leauge is too controlled and its boring now
