I’ve begun to learn Arabic. Such a beautiful language, and such an amazingly elegant script. I love this culture so much. Not enough to convert to Islam or anything huge, but enough to be a foreigner, gazing at the sands and beautiful robes from afar and admire and appreciate.

Beautiful! My Grandfather used to play the Kanun at the cafes in Istanbul in the 1930s. My grandmother asked him to stop after they had 3 children (understandable).
